Location, location, location. I would easily stay there again, due to its very convenient location in the heart of downtown Wellington. Room and amenities average. Dining very nice, but a bit pricey for breakfast. But an elevator ride down from the lobby puts you in the middle of Lambton Quay, and three short blocks from the shoreline. Extremely convenient location, in the heart of downtown.
I primarily stay at the Novotel and Ibis hotels in New Zealand, with the Novotel being the higher end of the two. However, in Wellington, this Novotel is not a higher end standard. It is dated, and showing its age. The room was clean, the location good, and the service excellent. But, the furniture in the room was old, the bed not as great as other Novotels. The bathroom was bathtub/shower configuration which was definitely older fare. In this town, the Ibis was the same rate and the nicer of the two. For $150/night, I expected more, and would probably not stay here again.
Very comfortable hotel located in the shopping hub of wellington. Cable car on your doorstep, restaurants, movies, bars and waterfront just a short walk away. Modern decor, friendly staff. Recommended stay.
Excellent room, lovely modern decor, great room layout, quiet with no road noise. Close to everything.
We stayed for 3 nights, ideal location. Great service especially when we entered the wrong code for our room safe - this was sorted in a matter of minutes. Breakfast average but as all buffet breakfasts seem to be, not very warm. Would stay again if in Wellington.
fantastic stay at the hotel .the staff were brilliant and helped out where ever they could.myself and friends would'nt hesitate in returning in the near future.10 outa 10
Required an extra night and booked this over the phone. We were offered the same rate as our 2 nights booked via HotelClub. Breakfast was abundant and special order of eggs was no trouble. Ice delivered to our room in minutes. View was great all be it interrupted by high rise office blocks. Access to must see attractions was good. Would stay there again. 10/10
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean hotel. Nice and central
Great place to stay. Would recommend. Clos,e to every thing.
We had a lovely hassel free stay
This hotel was well up to par with the Accor chain of hotels. Rooms were extremely clean, comfortable, quiet, and the beds were great. Hotel reception very friendly, with a great restautant to eat in after your long day in Wellington climbing up and down hills. As a travellers trick, use the lift in the Hotel Chancellor located next door to gain accessto Lambton Quay from the Terrace which comes in great when you have luggage.
We use this hotel frequently and always find the staff extremely helpful. Our rooms are always excellent. The situation in central Wellington is a plus.
Great service at very reasonable price. Would definitely stay at this hotel again next time I am in Wellington.
Everything was good only one complaint and that is the food was not upto standard I ordered fish and chips the fish was very greasy and soggy and not very appetizing and the pizza that was ordered was supposed to have lamb on it but the lamb must have wandered off somewhere
Excellent service 24/hours a day, best continental breakfast have had at a hotel. Very clean, rooms restocked with towels, linen etc. overall 10 out of 10. Very close to all main attractions!
Excellent Hotel in central Wellington, close to most amenities. Great service, good food, and you feel 'at home' with the friendliness of the staff. Regards.
The Novotel is in a great location on the Terrace in Wellington with direct lift access to Lambton Quay, the main shopping district in the city. The place was clean and staff was very helpful and friendly. Parking was overpriced at $23 per night and the beds were not exactly made to perfection after the first night. But these were minor faults in an otherwise very pleasant stay. Would recommend!
Great spot in Wellington as you can access Lambton Quay from the Hotel lift. Would stay there again
Had a great stay here. Excellent location in the centre of the city. Friendly. pleasant. helpful staff.
