Novotel Xin Qiao Hotel Beijing

In any business, location is key. Well, this hotel is the best in terms of location. It is just steps from the #2 line of the subway. The area is bustling with stores and entertainment. Big shopping mall, nice local restaurants, massage places, all kinds of shops. The hotel is of very good value and coupled with the location, value is unbeatable. Even though it's a 4 star hotel, the value is greater than some 5 star hotels in not so bustling area.

good connection for public transport; at the junction of two metro lines (2, 5). Hotel staff is always very helpful with the translation of adresses and other stuff. A lot of different Restaurants and one small grocery within the hotel (at little bit overpriced compared to outside restaurants IMO). The standard rooms are quite small and furnished in a rather decent way; however they look quite clean. The breakfast offers a wide variety of different food stuff (western style; no chinese food). For my taste a little bit too american, but tasty. Make sure that you dont arrive at peak times during breakfast (around 7:30/8 am) during tourist season (september/oktober) since you have to wait a little while (5-10 minutes) for a free desk.

Excellent hotel, fantastic service, good location right beside metro station and within easy walking distance of some of beijings main tourist attractions. Highly recommended.

Conceirge was very helpful. Subway entrance is just in front of the hotel. Room amenities are basic but will suffice. When we emailed the hotel to inquire about airport transfer for our arrival, we were told they did not offer that service only to find out they had a Tour Desk at the lobby & offered airport transfer at RMB500. Since our flight arrived at 2:00 AM, we were forced to hire a Hertz car. If you need to go to airport at normal time, I suggest you get regular taxi. Do meter or ask Conceirge to haggle for RMB100 which includes toll fee and a little tip for the driver.

Great facilities, tremendous staff,excellent catering. Overall a first class place to stay. Next time I am in Beijing there will be only one choice of accomodation - Novotel Xinqiao Hotel.

Great location, hard to beat it in fact. Nice large room and very bright with wonderful view (north facing). Decent gym, open 24/7. I couldn't have wished for more. Good quality F&B (subject to comment below) Main dislikes: - Exec Club Room very cramped, not a place to invite your friends of business associates - I thought your staff in the Exec Club area were unfriendly and unwelcoming; they did not do too well on the smile count. They were also not very pro-active at clearing tables or ensuring supply of F&B items in the buffet.

I had a very nice experience with Novotel Xinquiao. I did not imagine that the breakfast was in buffet style considering the price I paid for my stay. The location was very convenient for tourists.

Lovely hotel. Clean, great service and fantastic value. Went to buffet for dnner, but it turns out that restaurant was much better value, and better food. Couldn;t get internet in room, although we were supposed to. Opposite metro station, so great for getting around Beijing.

Hotel's location is very ideal, subway station is right in front of the hotel. Forbidden city is is just 1 line transfer and 3 stops away via subway. Hotel is very well maintained and the frontdesk staff is very helpful and they speak english too! They also arrange tours and you can buy intercity train tickets here! I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Beijing!

First room allocated seemed noisy and view of airconditioning/roof. Immediately relocated to great room on 9th floor with magnificent view.Would love to stay there again.

This was a very nice hotel, All and everything was great. I rate this hotel at the very top of the list. People that work there are the best. I would stay here on my next vist to Beijing and would advise everyone one else also to do the same. AAA+++

Located near subway station, very convenient. Music from Cafe keep repeating loudly, can be irritating to those rooms above the cafe. Suggest to play light musics instead.

Very good location. A metro station (Chongvenmen station) just outside the hotel. Staff spoke reasonable English and were helpful. The room was large and well equipped. The hotel has a small fitness room with all basic machines needed for a workout. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We stayed at this Novotel Xinqiao Hotel Beijing in August 2010, we found the location excellent, cab fare from the airport was only 100rmb or airport shuttle was only 35rmb for two.The staff were most helpful and the service was fine. Not all staff had a good grasp of english however we were able to get things sorted on all occassions.It is walking distance from the Forbidden city and Tiananmen square and a cheap cab fare to the Silk markets

This hotel was really great, me and my friend were on a low budget and ended up staying in some real dives in Beijing, ended up splashing out a little more cash and it was certainly worth it!

This hotel is first class allround for location, service, food and value for money.I would not hesitate to stay there again.
