Overall experience was great! Staff was very friendly and greeted you everywhere you went at the resort. It's a perfect spot for couples who need some quiet getaway as there aren't many kids and college students. Food was pretty good. The only downside is that you would need to pay at a pretty expensive price for imported wines like from Argentina, France, Italy and the U.S.

It was so wonderful last year that we decided to go back for a second visit. The second time around was just as wonderful! and more relaxing! Multiple restaurants allow for any pallet. clean beach, wonderful staff... Pools are on the cold side but in the hot weather I guess understandable. Ocean was beautiful and warm! I would recommend this Resort to friends and family any day!

The staff was extremely helpful. Hotel was beautiful. Food was outstanding, restaurants and buffet both. We were 19 people and it accommodated us very well. On the downside, weather kept us off the water sports equipment more than we would have liked. Also the rooms and pool area were very slippery when wet. Already thinking of returning.

NIce beach for snorkeling or boggie boarding. Ability to walk to small town or just hang at the hotel. Great food choices and entertainment! Friendly helpful staff and excellent service. Would go again in heart beat!

Room cleanliness was average, room missing some items such as shampoo, enough towels. Coffee machine is filthy. Sliding door to balcony doesn't have a screen door. fridge is not always filled with drinks. We had to call daily to ask for stuff.

Now Jade was a good hotel, I was expecting better. The food was good but not great. The rooms were nice but not exceptional. My freinds said they had ants in their rooms. We had trouble getting enough towels everyday. We spent the extra money to upgrade to the "primere" area and that was a waste. We had a hottub on our balcony, that filled with nasty yellow water. The hotel always had plenty of towels for the pools and the waitstaff at the pools and beach was excellent.

After a bumpy check-in and a few room changes, we really did enjoy the property. Highlights: Beauftiful rooms, gorgeous infinity pools, nice beach, decent food, wonderful coffee shop with lattes and desserts, no towel cards, no dinner reservations, no bracelets. Low lights: Service was slow at times. Dirty dishes left laying around at pool/beach. Would recommend if you get a good deal.

The resort is absolutely fantastic. Room service, the waiters and waitresses, bartenders and the food service team do a wonderful job. Live music every night in addition to live performances which are thematic according to the day really round out the experience. There are plenty options during the daylight hours as well, including water activities, tours to the ruins, lessons in scuba etc. Anything you want just ask. Our special friends at the bar and restaurants include Cesar, Fernando, Monserratt, and Calipto and others too numerous to mention made our stay at the Now Jade Riviera the best!

Great room, pools, bars, restaurants and staff! We really enjoyed both the beach and the pool. Beach was a bit rocky in some areas(maybe 10% of the beach total), otherwise fantastic!

This is an incredible resort. It has large rooms, wonderful suites for the larger family. I was there with several other families and all our rooms wer great. The staff were accomodating when our reservations were not right. The food was above average at the buffet and excellent at the sit down restaurants. The staff were friendly, courteous, accomodatng and made you feel special. The only negative is the location. It is quite remote and requires a 40 min cab ride to either Cancun or Playa del Carmen. The night life at the resort was not great but we really were not there for that

Had ants in the room and air did not work, but got problems fixed quickly. Was not prepared for casual elegance for dinner but that was my fault. More cosmopolitan than rMexican. Food was very good. Be sure to try all the restaurants. Overall positive experience.

Now Jade Resort Review Date: October 22, 2011 We visited the Now Jade with 7 others from Oct 7 – 17, 2011. We have all been going to All-Inclusive hotels in Mexico for many years and this was our first visit to the Now Jade. First a word of Caution and Safety!!! – Take some non-slip footwear. The room floors, the pool area and the sidewalks are all extremely slippery when wet. None of us fell, but we all had some close calls. Also take bug spray. Now on to the review. The hotel was extremely nice, but it did not have any “Mexican” flavor. It could be located anywhere and we prefer feeling that we are visiting Mexico. Having said that, the place is beautiful, well maintained, modern, the rooms are lovely and big. The room bathrooms are probably the best we have ever had. They have very large showers with rain shower heads, a separate Jacuzzi bathtub large enough for two, two separate sink areas and the toilet and bidet area is separated by floor to ceiling glass walls. There is a lot of marble/granite in the rooms and a separate sunken living room. We had two double beds which they slid together so I wouldn’t demand a king size bed as this arrangement worked well. Room cleaning for us was always late in the day which wasn’t a problem once we figured it out. The nightly turn-down service was hit and miss and there was no towel art which didn’t bother us. Some of the group was in the Preferred room section and there was not much difference in the two different rooms. Their only advantage was that the wireless Internet access for mobile devices, laptops or tablets was free. Spend the money on an upgrade to an Ocean Front room in the regular section instead of an Preferred Ocean View room. The group ate at all the specialty restaurants and the favorite was the Italian and the least favorite was the Mexican. The food was good and it was considered “fine dining” and therefore the dress code. The hotel was only about 50% occupancy and they rotated closing a restaurant each night including the buffet and that is why they probably did not strictly enforce the dress code. If someone planned to eat at the buffet every night they would not have been able to. The buffet was good, the food was very “Americanized” and not a lot of Mexican food. Many times the food was luke warm, not hot. The breakfast buffet was great with eggs to order and Bloody Mary’s, Champaign and Mermosa’s available. The coffee we did not think was as strong as we have had at other Mexican resorts. The ocean and pool water was very warm and easy to be in. The pool depth was 4’9” and easy to walk in with a very nice swim up bar. The south end of the beach was the best as the north end on the Preferred section had big boulders in the water. The sand was very soft and they had frequent drink service. There were hardly any vendors. Our friends comments about the Preferred pool area were “boring” and poor bar service and they joined the rest of us at the south end. Our group occupied buildings 1, 6 & 7 and had Ocean Front and Ocean View Rooms. The view of the ocean from the Ocean View rooms depends on the proximity to the beach. The closer you are the better the view and obviously the farther away the worse your view. Check in and out was fine, we were asked and declined the invitation to meet with the sales people about visiting the other resorts and there were no further issues. We booked our trip on Orbitz and used Grey Line transportation to and from the airport. We upgraded to their private car service and it was very efficient and timely. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and spoke as they passed. Service was great in the bars, lounges, restaurants, beaches etc. We did not encounter any problems with the staff. There is a lot of walking. For only 550 rooms the place is extremely spread out. It took about 8 minutes to walk from building 1 to the lobby or buffet which is in the middle of the complex. Be prepared to walk and bring good walking shoes. We went int

We found the resort hotel to be among the most fancy we have stayed at. The staff was very attentive (except for check out and payment) and helpful. The food was excellent and the ocean front room was just fine and everything worked. Only big issue is for low season the amount we had to pay was way too high. They charged $140 a night to add a third person to our room on top of the cost for two persons in the room already and the cost for amenities like the spa and store and pictures was extremely high. The exchange rate used to determine the charges also was higher than the daily peso/dollar rate by a significant amount. The resort also needs to develop more of a sustainable and "green" appraoch to its operations. Do they recycle all those plastic bottles??

Room was great, very large. The food could be upgraded but wasn,t bad. 2 restaurants were closed due to low amount of people. Not happy about that. Hotel needs more tropical flowers and entrance lacks appeal. All in all we had a great time. Thanks lois
