"close to airport and ideal for pepole who want to explore the west of ireland " - tony buckley
"Stayed for one night on business and found both the hotel facilities, quality and staff better than a lot of 4 star hotels I have stayed in. I had a room at the back of the hotel which was a little difficult to find as the signage is not particularly clear. The room unfortunately had a view of the service yard and boilerhouse which is shared by many rooms at the back of the hotel. Not particularly pretty and was at times noisy as the boilers fired up! A minor point but I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel and will stay again. The hotel decoration is fascinating for the aviation enthusiast displaying many old and interesting pictures and posters etc of commercial aviation development." - Ian Edwards
"We were given horrible directions for taking the bus. If we hadn't run into a nice man on the street who gave us walking directions (on the way back to the hotel) after getting off at the station the woman at the desk told us to, we would have never found the hotel again. Other than that the place was great." - Anonymous
"I stayed at the Oakwood Arms hotel in April 08 for a weekend break to Ireland. I loved the hotel and found the staff very helpfull, the room was large and comfortable. Although there is not a lot to do in Shannon the hotel has a bus stop right outside that has regular services to many tourist spots (the hotel also has timetables for the buses) " - Toni Stein
