Oaks Aurora Apartments Brisbane

I stayed in a 2 rooms apartment with my family and we were all happy. Next time I'll book a higher floor with better view and not face to the cooling tower of next building. The cooling tower runs 24x7 and the noise is very loud. The staff in the frontdesk are friendly and helpful. It's closed to the train station and very convenient for shopping and dinning.

Let's face it, people in this country are Lazy! The TV could not tune into any Free to Air Digital Channels. All the Foxtell could do was display one channel with programs of lovely young breasts and best looking women of the world. The staff could not fix this problem. It is obvious that no one pays any attention to detail here. This was a modern TV system and it could only get a limited few analogue stations so NO ABC or SBS! Noise from above master bedroom woke me a few times during the night. On 1 night I slept on the lounge instead of putting up with this. Light in Master Bathroom very dim. Exhaust Fan not working No Laundry in the apartment They don't trust anyone. They have a pre-endorsement of your Credit Card of $150- and this is after you have paid for the room! View from 51st Floor was pretty amazing Meals in Brisbane City on Xmas day only @ China Town - the rest of the place was dead!

It was a great location in downtown Brisbane. Apartment was comfortable and generally clean. The car park was easy to access. Overall great experience.

Stayed at the Aurora when I was in Brisbane on business and absolutely loved it. The one bedroom apartment was beautifully furnished and had a great balcony and view. Only problem is that there's not much to eat around the area in the way of quick and easy, you'll have to go down to a restaurant on Eagle point pier. Would definitely stay there again!

One of the best places to stay in Brisbane. Comfortable apartments with great views and convenient for the CBD and Eagle Street.

The location was great for access to restaurants. The room was not very clean. Had to ask for towels to be replaced on third day as it were not replaced. Towels were very small and thin. While the building did not seem to old, there were signs of not being looked after. The other Oaks properties in Brisbane are in better state.

Have stayed here several times over the past few months. The staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean, apartment style accomodation with fairly well resourced kitchens. The location is fairly central - 2 min walk to riverfront bars / restaurants, 5 min walk to Central Station, 10 min walk to Queen St mall and within 10 min to most office buildings one might be visiting if travelling for business. There is no room service, but if cooking for yourself, there are supermarkets within a 10 min easy walk of the building.

Very nice apartment on 25th floor, would stay here again without hesitation, only downside was across from my balcony was the air-conditioning unit atop one of the office buildings which was extremely noisy, but wasn't too bad at night with doors closed.

we thought it was excellent we stayed at margaret st and this one rate this very high on our list would stay again definitely

Apartment was very nice, clean and comfortable. Parking was a bit confusing when you are not a local however but staff helped out. Overall a lovely stay.

Very central to the CBD and easy walking distance to two major supermarkets, which is handy when staying in an apartment instead of a hotel room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking for guests is available for an additional cost. If you've got friends who want to come visit you, they are able to park free for a 4 hour period as long as they register as visiting your apartment with the concierge. The kitchen was pretty well equipped and most of the apartments have digital tv - a rarity in hotel rooms so quite a treat to be able to tune in to ABC2, SBS2, 7TWO, ONEHD and GO!. Only disappointment is water saver showerhead. The usual trauma applies here - either a faint mist that wouldn't bathe a budgie or turn the shower head so you're blasted with a really thin fire hose. I've stayed here a couple of times and would stay again.

Too pricey for a short stay. There are far better alternatives. staff are efficient and friendly. If you drive anything bigger than a motor scooter DO NOT accept park 42A. Parking whilst checking in is complicated and the threat of being towed away is ever present.

The apartments are generally well stocked. I've stayed in a different apartment each Mon-Fri for the past 6 weeks. There are two minor inconveniences with this accommodation. First - the air conditioning is uncontrollable. It is mid-winter here and no matter how hard one tries, you cannot get the air conditioner to warm the room. At no stage could I get warm air to issue forth. I even had the concierge try to assist and to no avail. Having stayed in 6 different apartments in this building, I can honestly say it is a problem with the system, not an individual apartment. I have no idea if it works better in the summer months. Second - the shower heads are useless. You are forced to bathe in a fine mist, or the equivalent of a riot water cannon with a 1cm diameter. All the apartments have the same shower heads - cheap and nasty. Other than that, the location is handy to everywhere in the CBD and close to Central station. The staff seemed very helpful and welcoming.

Fantastic. Very central. Great views. We had a large group of friends from overseas and various parts of Australia staying at Oaks Aurora in order to attend a wedding close by. Everybody loved their accommodation at Oaks Aurora. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Eager to please. Thankyou Lachlan Michelle Jarrod for excellent service and for making our stay more enjoyable. Laurence also gave excellent advice and assistance prior to stay re hotel arrangements, facilities and general enquiries.
