"We booked this hotel for our 25th anniversary and were impressed with the overall cleanliness and appointments in the room.
We did attempt to change to a harbour view room and were willing to pay an upgrade to achieve this but were told that the hotel was full. Over the next two days we noticed that the hotel certainly didn't appear to be full. We also requested a late checkout until 12.00 and were advised that the charge was $60, a bit steep." - Anonymous
"The check-in service was poor. We had come directly to the hotel from the airport. Being declined the opportunity to check in at 12 midday as we had a graduation ceremony to attend soon after, the best they could offer was for me to get changed into my suit in the swimming pool changing rooms. The floor was wet. We weren't even offered a towel. We had even rung a few days previous to request an earlier check in. They were not helpful at all. To call a taxi, we were told to' go out and wait in the street and that one would probably come past soon'. On leaving, I was appalled to witness the concierge just watch on as this lady staggered down the front steps with a huge suitcase and two other bags, without offering one word of assistance. I would suggest leaving this hotel to the permanent residents!" - Anonymous
