Oaks Goldsbrough Apartments Sydney

Convenient place to stay, nothing flash the apartments are quite old and at times can be quite noisy as the bedroom is on external wall side. Rooms come across as quite old, shower in the bath is for very short people!!!! TV pretty old and didnt work. No info in the room about the apartments, location, facilities etc which made it difficult as we arrived quite late so didnt know where to eat/if we could get room service etc.

There are a lot of reviews online that would leave you to believe that this hotel is well below standard and while Id say there are a few things that could be done a little better (the pool is small, the sheets are only changed weekly and occasionally the bed wasnt made properly) overall our experience with the hotel was very satisfactory. Considering its excellent location and the fact that its much much cheaper than other hotels in the same area Id have no hesitation in recommending it. If youre looking to spend a lot of time in your hotel then it may be worth paying for somewhere with better amenities but if youre mostly just spending the evenings there then this place is fine, basic but fine.

Reception staff couldn't do enough to help, threw we're great. Fantastic location. Love staying here

Was disappointed with the view as we were located on the 8th floor which only has very narrow windows unlike those represented in the promotional pictures of the rooms on the internet. From our room there was only limited views of the actual water front, glimpses between buildings and carparks. Felt that there was no advantage in paying higher price for harbourside apartment. Other than this our experience of the hotel was quite positive.

This was a great hotel for the location for the family. Only real problem the TV channel selection was terrible, Didn't get most; Also the need to pay WiFi. This should bee in this age were everone is connected. However we would stay there again next time.

3rd time I've stayed here in the last 2 1/2 years. Still a great place to stay but looking a bit worn. Clean, serviced. Brilliant location. Disappointed last shuttle bus to airport left at 5.00pm after being told it was 7.00pm. (Bus a lot easier for seniors to manage). Still overall good and comfortable and value for money.

I've visited several hotels and apartments in Sydney and can certainly say this venue beats all the others. Slightly further from CBD, but worth it in value and quality of facilities. Its also the best of the Oaks!! Great price, great location, amenities all in excellent working order and the balcony is a true bonus!! Will definitely return and refer. Denise Miles

Excellent access to darling harbor from this landmark heritage hotel. Would have been better with bar. Mm

Large hotel located two minutes walk from Darling Harbour precinct. Great facilities in the room and very clean, not much of a view but didn't matter as we didn't spend much time there. Pool and gym facilities were average but ok, friendly helpful staff and good security.

My wife and adult daughter stayed at the Oaks for 1 night to do Casino/Darling Harbour etc. Location is great - walking distance to everything. Room was ok, looked a bit tired, and we had a rollaway for my daughter in the lounge - unfortunately there were no blockouts on the windows - so it was an early start for her. Very interesting building setup (being old wool store). Staff were friendly and helpful

Little signage so drove past then had long loop to go past again with one-way street. Apparently it is a huge converted wool shed. Rooms basic. Bathroom crowded with washing machine and dryer but useful if that is what you needed. Handy to walk across to monorail, light rail or just Darling Harbour itself.

If you aren't too fussy, this is a great place to stay. Room a bit tired, but so reasonable and well fitted out with an excellent kitchen and full laundry.

Excellent position close to easy transport for young children close to the entertainment centre

Room was comfortable and amenities provided was modern, Location of hotel is great, close to the tram and monorail. Walking distance to harbour town, china town and market city.

It was the second time I have stayed there and once again we were very happy with our stay. Except this time the view we had was of a carpark and an old alleyway. Definately wont stop me from staying in the future though!!

Maintenance requested not completed satisfactory. Getting from one level to another was frustrating as it would appear that the lift system cannot cope with the amount of guests - ie aware of some people waiting up to 15 minutes to be able to get into a lift to get to hotel lobby. Everything else was fine,comfortable and very friendly service

Wonderful attention to detail in the 2 bedroom unit. Fabulous Bedding, kitchen appliances ,space to spread out from suitcases, upscale furniture and bathrooms, made this a perfect destination for our family. Good reception staff and easy paperwork booking in & out. Great Family Hotel.

There was a problem at check in with my booking, however the hotel manager had it quickly rectified and with an upgrade. The bedroom was located close to the hallway and being timber floors every person could be heard passing the room. The bathroom flooded with every shower as the drain was in the wrong place. Very small bedroom and bathroom. On a positive, the location was excellent, very close to light rail and monorail stations.

It was great.. Location was awesome.. Everything so close and walking distance... Next time will book room with a harbour view... Perfect overall...

Absolutley LOVED the apartment. Was such great value for money, very clean and very central. I have been telling everyone I know! Have given rave reviews to all of them. I will definatley be back!!
