"It's far from Port Douglas center, but we had a car so no problems for that. Hotel is really clean, we had a room with access to the swimming pool, super! For the money it's really a good option. "Location was good because it was still close to the heart of Port Douglas without being to busy. There is a great deli around the corner for breakfast and it is close to the supermarket. When we arrived our rooms were not overlooking the pool so we requested a change, it was no problem with the staff. The room that we changed to was not supposed to be in use as the spa was being repaired, so the floor was alittle messy, but it was not a problem. The pools are kept clean, don't get a swimout if you are not wanting other people to swim around your patio! A couple did give us dirty looks for swimming in front of theirs! Oaks was lovely and quiet even though we did hear they were booked out. It could do with a bar and restraunt." - Cherie Tooms

Port Douglas is located 60km north of Cairns along the Captain Cook Highway. Take a right turn off the Captain Cook Highway into Port Douglas Road. Oaks Lagoons is located approximately 2km along Port Douglas Road, on the right-hand side.
