Oaks Lure Apartments Nelson Bay

The staff at reception need to drop the attitude and start realising that their job is to make guests feel welcome. If housekeeping have your room made up and you arrive exhausted from driving for hours, it would be a nice gesture to let guests check-in. They way they reacted you would have thought we had asked for the second parting of the Red Sea.

The room was nice. Great location as close to shopping centre and harbour. The room was a little noisy though as our room was right over the garage entrance and also the walls were a little thin.

Really clean, nice and new and very spacish. Me and my partner stayed in a one bedroom apartment, its was modern and had a nice outdoor area with table and chaires to socialise. Definately value for money!

Very modern apartment and ideal for our weekend away from the city. Would certainly recommend this place to anyone visiting Nelson Bay.

Close to the centre of town for restaurants etc, but be prepared for a bit of a steep walk back - unfortunately footpaths don't , though, you can'extend the whole way and the street lighting isn't great. If you're driving aroundt beat it. The hotel itself was great, got a fantastic deal on a 1br suite which was way bigger than expected.

Nice place to stay. Room 216 was a bad choice as it right about the basement garage door that was opening and closing all night that kept us awake. Avoid this room if you can. Cleanliness and service was great.

Room is quite big, we were really happy that there is DVD player. Didn't get to use the poor or BBQ coz of weather. It's actually walking distance to town and stuff. Neat and clean. Staff friendly and happy.

Overall quite nice, although I couldn't sit on the couch, it made me very itchy.

no service to the room in the 2 days we were there. we felt that a note to say this would be appreciated. Also the rooms that are in the adverts are not the rooms we got. we didnt see the pool from our room and also as we were booking the self contained rooms suddenly sold out. it must be to do with only paying a lower price with the last minute deals.

Booking online took the hassel out of everything, from the moment I walked in I was very well looked after, the hospitality, the service, the room. All I needed to do was to enjoy the stay with my beautiful wife. Highly recommend it. Thank You.

Very clean and modern, though the 'heated' pool was freezing! reception said that is because it's solar heated - crap!

There was no infomation about the faccilities at the hotel. When we asked for help the receptionist didn't help us at all.

The rooms of this hotel is very small. I personally did not like it. Will not go back to this hotel again.

it is a nice apartment, however when we check in, the reception was closed. And quite a no of late arrivals had to contact the duty manager to collect our keys, which is not secure. Anyone can claim that they are staying and check in without paying too.

great place except for one thing, if you get a room on top floor, the good news is you get a balcony but the bad news is, you get woken up at night with banging pipes in the walls and ceiling. which is very annoying and freaky! or who knows maybe it was even a ghost of some sort!

Excellent value and proximity to the marina. Highly recommended.
