Oaks On Collins Melbourne

Good location. All comfortable except that the Bathroom was extremely small - last time I saw one that small was on a Boeing 737!

Stayed there twice now. Tram right out the front. Has a full working kitchen! They have parking onsite as well as a backup close by. The restaurant has good food! Good choice of breakfast options. Clean, comfortable rooms. First time we got a room with no windows, which was odd but had the best sleep EVER! no light, no noise just rest! second we got a balcony facing the pool which my partner loved, beautiful morning sun to warm up in. Mc donalds next door.

Nice rooms, but make sure you book a room overlooking the street, or you will end up looking into the office building next door, which makes the room dark & people in offices looking straight into your room.

A beautiful hotel, close to everything. Southern Cross Station a 5 minute away, lovely restaurants within 10 minutes walk. I had a beautiful studio executive room overlooking Collins St, great view. I'd definitely stay here again.

The rooms were a little tired (carpets were stained, TV was tiny) and the studio rooms we had were a strange size, shape and location with a window that looks into the hallway. Also, why have bedside tables with no bedside lamps and no way to turn the rooms lights off from bed? Staff were very helpful and accomodating and moved us to a larger studio on the night we had a third person staying with us, however this room still had a glass walled bathroom which does not afford much privacy (even frosted) so make sure you are only sharing a room with a very close friend or loved one! Would stay again for the location and staff.

Very stylish room!

I have been going to Melbourne for the last 46 years and have seen massive changes in the place. Oaks On Collins is the best value for money, position to major attractions excellent and facilities first class. Will stay there again without looking else ware. Thanks Hotel Club. Ken 17/09/2011

Apart from the sliding bathroom door that didn't slide, especialy after closing it once in the bathroom!, the room, pricing, cleanliness and location were excellent. Concierge and Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Room service dinner a little cold by the time it reached me, but tasty.

Reception staff were very helpful, friendly and courteous.The restaurant was very good but we were disappointed that the bar on level 1 was not open late on Saturday night. Only the bar on the ground floor was operating and was noisy and very busy - we were looking for somewhere to have a quiet drink after vising the theatre. The room was very comfortable and well presented and equipped. Being a studio apartment rather than a hotel room meant that there was plenty of room and if we had stayed longer we would have also prepared our own meals.

The Hotel is good and service was ok, its a bit to far to walk to the City Ctr though. It would have been good to get a room service breakfast as well.

Our accomodation was very clean & comfortable & included everything we needed. The only critisism would be that we were unaware when we booked that car parking would cost us extra & was not included in the price. Apart from that though everything was of a very high standard.

Fabulous location. Exceptional customer service, great value for money. My only comment would be the carpet in my room was too well used

The Studio Executive room had a pretty new deco, was a good size and had a comprehensive kitchen. I thought it was good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't try any of the bars or restaurants.

Outstandingly clean and well presented. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Service was great. It was just hard to find the reception area!!

This is the second time I've stayed at the Oaks on Collins. The Executive Studio was spacious and stylish with a great view. It's a great location with trams right outside the door. I really enjoyed my stay as I did last time and would definitely recommend. Make sure you upgrade to the Executive Studio, much better than the standard Queen Studio.

Very pleasant stay. The Studio Executive room, was, well just a room with a kitchen, dining, bed and bathrooms all rolled into one. Small, the size of a hotel room but quite cute and cosy. Probably would stay there again

We spent two nights at the Oaks on Collins. The Executive studio was a good size and although the bathroom was small it was quite adequate and the frosted glass is not a problem. The room faced onto Collins street, with three non opening windows, it was quiet at night. The staff were polite and friendly at all times. Location is excellent, easy walking distance to many attractions. Car parking is a problem.

Nice size apartments in good location, a little old but clean and spacious. Bathrooms could do with an update but overall great value for money. Would stay there again.

Exellent location, staff very helpful, restaurant meals were good, no views but everything else was spot on

Very nice & neat hotel, good prices, not too far from Southern Cross station. Its also right next to a 24hr McDonalds. They just require a bond, which is refunded anyway.
