Oaks On Lonsdale Melbourne

On arrival was told I need a credit card to leave a $150 holding fee. I dont own a credit card so offered to leave $150 in cash in exchange for a receipt. Staff at reception told me to wait 15 min for manager to return from meal break. Not only is this embarrasing when booking in but I had a guest that accommpanied me. I was told by staff to phone a friend or get someone that has a credit card! Not on! Cant complain about service! There is none! We dont all live on Credit! What happened to good old cash transactions!

For the price we paid it was perfect. Close to everything. Has a gym across the road which gives good rates to customers that stay at the Oaks. Staff, in particular Dominic, was very friendly, helpful and professional.

We had a Studio. It had a well equipped kitchenette, including a dishwasher, and an interesting room-service menu but nothing to eat from. No table or chairs. Bizarre! Ate breakfast from our knees sitting on the bed. It's in the small print so can't complain of misleading advertising but a very odd thing to find in an Apartment Hotel. Room is small but it would be easy to put a folding table in there, making it more useable and normal. Location excellent and good view from 22nd floor.

I went down for business trip and stayed 2 nights. Apart from the TV remote being a bit dodgy, the stay was perfect. Great room and helpful staff. Location is brilliant and it feels modern and well looked after. Only draw back is no breakfast option, however the room had its own kitchen I will stay again if the price is the same (about $150 p/n I think)

For the price...AMAZING. Staff so friendly and accomodating..............its where I stay in Melbourne now!

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment on the 25th floor this had everything you could want, great views very quiet and a minute to Parliament Station. All staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a carpark (at cost). Great restaurants close by. Coffee shop next door as well as a grocery store.We will stay at the Oaks On Londale when next in Melbourne.

Situated in the best part of Melbourne. We had a wonderful view from our room. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Great hotel in central location. Easy stroll around city from hotel an close to Rail transport. Great place to stay when in Melbourne.

Excellent apartment with all facilities you would want to cook, rest and sleep Good location to melbourne city areas and particularly the theatres $140 was very good value for a 1 bedroom apartment

This is a very modern apartment to stay at with excellent room facilities and plenty of space, just like being at home. Excellent location to wonderful resturants and sights. This is our second stay with the 'Oaks' brand and will definatly be making them our preferred hotel

This was the most amazing deal ever! Much better than a standard hotel room. For the most part, I treated my stay there as a standard Hotel room, but one night, I wanted to cook dinner for my girlfriend and bam ! Everything I needed, equipment wise, for an epic meal was right there. Highly recommended!

Stayed on the 7th floor. The one bedroom appartment was clean and quite (for a city location) with good climate control. The private balcony was an added bonus. Would definitely stay again.

I've stayed at Oaks on Lonsdale at least 4 times. The one bdrm apartments are huge..full size kitchen, dining, huge bathroom, king bed. Every apartment has a balcony. Views from high floors are beautiful. Most recently, my sister and I shared a 2 bdrm apt. It was much bigger than we expected, with walk in robe, giant ensuite and balcony off both master bdrm and lounge. Now that I'm a HotelClub member and get such great deals, I will stay here even more often. There's no restaurant, room service, gym or pool but they are of no interest to me. The only downside is that it's a strenuous walk up the hill on Lonsdale St after a hard day's shopping!

We arrived around 9.30 pm and even though the apartment is well located and has good facilities, the lounge, chairs and mattress covers were horribly stained. Considering it is supposed to be 4.5 star rating, not good enough. Did take photos

Stayed in a studio room which was much smaller than I expected it to be. I was disappointed that there wasn't a writing table after having stayed at other Oaks hotels and it became a challenge trying to get some work done while sitting on the bed. If space isn't a concern, then this is probably a good place to stay for a couple of days. It's very clean, in a good location and the price is very competitive. Staff are friendly too.

Great place to stay. Central to trams, city and Chinatown. Very quiet and easy to sleep. Would highly recommend.
