Upon arriving at the hotel we were told by an unfriendly receptionist that we were to put down a $150 holding deposit on credit card which wouldn't be refunded for 10 days and no cash deposit or other arrangement could be made. Once getting to our room we decided to head up for a swim, the pool is wonderful and great for relaxing but did not supply towels so we took the ones from our room. Afterwards we called housekeeping and requested a second set of towels for the shower and were told towels were $2 each for the rest of our stay. Not happy Jan!
Having read other reviews, we were aware that when we arrived we would have to pay extra for a water view but would not have to pay for parking in the council carpark behind the hotel so there was no problem when we arrived at reception. The staff were very pleasant. The views and environment are certainly worth the money. The room is pleasant if a little hazardous for a child or infirm person as the entry to the shower over the bath is above knee height and there are no handles for support. Other facilities are fine and, with the door closed, it would be quiet in busy times. With laundry and extra bedding included it is a comfortable, most satisfactory place to stay. We would go again.
Room was really nice, some building works being done but this did not affect our stay. Reception were very friendly.
The room was good though without the water view. The Air COndition was effective which helped us to sleep well . The bed is king size and very comfortable. We expected to have a plazma tv. since the Resort pricing was high. Location is good close to everything.
Good facilities and close proximity to eateries and the water front made this an ideal getaway location.
we found the staff to be very efficient and were greeted in a friendly manner, the accommodation was excellent, only one fault was that the hallway /walkway to rooms could have better airconditioning, but that is a very minor setback as all in all the service, rooms and stay was fantastic.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The room had everything we needed as well as a nice view. Located close to everything. Reception staff pleasant. Price was really good. Would stay again.
The hotel was nice however there was load construction going on in the hotel.
Very clean and modern apartment, location was great, staff were very friendly and helpful. Original room booked quoted queen size bed (but was only a double) and staff quickly upgraded our one bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment with a queen size bed. Would definately stay here again.
Great location. The room was lovely and comfortable. We had an excellent stay and would definately recommend this place to family and friends.
Thought it was during renovation at that time and winter season in June the overall services was quite good particularly the lady who checked us in was very nice. Norman
My husband & I stayed at Oaks to celebrate being together for 40 years. We arrived a little early but went to reception anyway. The lovely receptionist assured us that it was no problem & let us check in. The resort is a bit old but very clean, comfortable & had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The location is a treat! Out the door & into the main street. It's so close to everything. We had a great time & are looking forward to doing it again when the weather is a bit warmer & we can make use of the pool.
The tv was very old fashioned and not digital, so there were limited channels. We were happy with everything else. Beautiful location.
Apart from being a little difficult to find it is a well priced excellent hotel
I want to recommend my friends this hotel with good environment and security
