Oasis Resort Taupo

We had a lovely room right on the water front and it was excellent. Really loved getting the newspaper and the ammenities were great. The front desk service was so so, however. Not the best I've experienced in that area. The rooms on the lake are nice and quiet, but we had to push to get away from the front room traffic.

Old style one bedroom unit beside an outdoor hot pool and very well equiped. Short drive to town centre and restaurants.

a very pleasant experience, very lovely receptionist who checked us in and out as well. Right on the beach, was very soothing to hear the waves breaking on the shore. the room was very nice and suprisingly modern. would definitely go back to stay.

Situated a little way from the main town at the end of the hotel strip, this sits on a fairly quiet location (as quiet as being on State highway 1 can be). The initial impression was a little disappointing - barrack-like rows of rooms but our 2-bedroom unit was well equipped for a self-catering stay (use of next door hotel facilities possible). The medium size pool was just outside the door and was warm and clean. Good centre for the surrounding region.

We loved the poolside apartment. We have a 15 month toddler and it was safe for him to be outside, as the pool has high sides. The pool water was heated that he wasn't cold and was able to stay in for as long as he wanted. Would definately go back again!

Fantastic place to stay with children, our room opened directly onto the pool and was only 15 metres from the lakeside.

The place was clean & modern. We had the room with the pool view. Found it difficult to get to the lake even though it was just a few secs away. They didn't provide the key to the gates to get to the water. The lady at reception was rude and didn't seemed bothered.

I feel their pricing is a little expensive expecially for the studio rooms, however very clean and modern looking.

A very comfortable and well appointed room for a good rate. I will certainly stay here in future. Cosy and warm, (it was -5C outside in the morning with a couple enjoying the outdoor heated pool). Hopefully the two on site restaurants recently affected by fire will be open again soon.

This is a slightly old-fashioned, but nicely refurbished, family motel, built around one of the nicest hot pools in Taupo. It can be a bit expensive at school holiday time (and probably hosts clients whose parents first took them there back in the 1970s or 1980s) but is very good value at other times. The units are decently equipped for self-catering.

Even though there was a fire in the next door motel when I arrived staff were professional and helpful and dealing with trying to find accommodation for those affected by the fire. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely setting, clean and easy to find. External noise from the pool heard in main room through the night. nice staff, good faucilities connected to hotel next door.

We were very happy with the staff, location and facilities offered by Oasis especially where the children were concerned as there was a heated swimming pool right outside the units, spa pool and the lake front to occupy their time. Several staff members in particular were very accomodating with booking in and supplying coins to the children to play the pool table. The online booking for one unit proved a winner with complimentary breakfast included and was appreciated. I personally did not stay in either of the two units as I had booked them for family members who travelled to Taupo to spend several days with us while we were visiting our son. He lives in Richmond Heights which was one of the reasons why I chose Oasis. All in all I was very satisfied with choosing Oasis for those few days.

Fabulous location right on the lakefront, sharing facilities with the international hotel chain next door was a bonus. Privacy was great while outside the unit using the shared facilities. Grounds are well established and in fitting with the Oasis name.
