Under new management and newly refurbished Geraldton's Ocean West lies in the beautiful Mid West of Australia and are the perfect place to stay for a relaxing holiday or weekend break and are perfect for business travellers. Situated in a quiet area right opposite Geraldtons back beach and only 2 Km from the city centre, you couldn't be in a better location. Our one and three bedroom self-contained units are perfect for individuals, couples, families or groups. Each unit is comfortably spacious and totally self-contained with Queen-sized beds, modern fully-equipped kitchens, air conditioning, colour TVs, patio area and own private parking. Our facilities include a complimentary undercover barbeque area which is a focal point during the evenings, guest laundry, a safely located playground and parking for boats and trailers. To ensure a great holiday, the Mid West of Australia has a range of excellent attractions. As well as being opposite one of Geraldton\'s most popular beaches - which is perfectly suited to windsurfing, surfing and kiteboarding year round. - the region provides all the amenities and attractions you could wish for. Be it for fishing, swimming, lazing in the sand or enjoying a beautiful sunset over the Indian Ocean on a tranquil beach, you can discover the right spot just for you. Getting there:
Coming from the South,take Broadhead Ave off the Brand Highway which leads to Tarcoola Beach. Then follow Willcock Drive along the beach till you get to Hadda Way. Coming from the north, follow the North west coastal hwy, go underneath the fly over bridge, turn left at Wilcock drive, over railway, left at t-juncton, follow road for 300metres till you see Ocean West on the corner.

WiFi access advertised but not accessible in unit Fridge badly needed a defrost Smell of stale cigarettes in reception was unpleasant otherwise ok for an overnighter

The units are compact and designed for a family with a double bed and four single beds in 2 other rooms. Bathroom facilities very 'compact' and need upgrading. Better screening of the bathroom and toilet windows would be nice as at night you can see shapes of people inside. Mattresses need replacing urgently, like sleeping on the slats beneath; and so do pillows which were badly stained.

There were no light globes in the bed side lamps and a light was not working in the kitchen area. The carpets were stained from years of use and require changing. The TV had no remote control either. The location is great and the service is good.

Basic room with all the normal amenities although TV had no remote (Aaarghh!). Great location though very close to great beach and easy acces to town.

I loved the early morning walk on the beach across the road. I could hang my washing out on the line which I prefer. I walked up Fitzgerald Street to get to town centre which is a lovely street full of old stone cottages and huge pine trees. The units were spacious but the mattress needed to be replaced on the bed in unit 22. The hot water wasn't working but a young guy Sam replaced the fuse immediately and the problem was solved. I felt very relaxed when I left and enjoyed Geraldton.
