The Okoroire Hotel is a beautiful, well known 'Olde World' country hotel built in the 1880s and nestled in 80 acres of park surroundings on the banks of the Waihou river. The hotel is constructed from native timbers and is a veritable example of a true Kiwi hotel. It quickly became famous for its level of comfort and service, as well as the healing qualities of the local hot springs and the overwhelming beauty of the surrounding countryside. The heritage wing of the hotel has undergone an extensive upgrade. These rooms are stunning, with beautiful new bathrooms. This wing also includes our conference facilities. The front of the hotel now boasts a large deck where locals and visitors enjoy late afternoon drinks and watch light fade over the golf course. |

The hotel is 6.5kms from Tirau. Look for the Big Sheep on the corner of Okoroire Street, turn left (if you are coming from the north). At the end of Okoroire St turn left into Okoroire Road. At the T intersection of Okoroire Road and Somerville Road turn right and you are there. |

Check in is generally available form 2pm, however if your room is clean and ready when you arrive earlier you will be given access to your room straight away. |

All house rooms in the heritage wing have room for a maximum of two people only. Chalets and family chalets can accommodate extra adults or children. Children under the age of 10 years are charged at $20.00. 10 years or older are charged at the adult extra person rate of $55.00 |
