Olympia Hotel London

"I often stay in budget hotels and know what to expect for the money I pay. However the Olympia Hotel London is a totally frustrating experience. My room had a very clean bathroom (small but this is to be expected) with good fxtures and fittings and clean comfortable beds. However with the temperature below freezing I had a window that virtually flapped in the wind as the catch was broken. The radiator would not work so I had to ask to have the heating turned on. The kettle contained a mouldy teabag which had obviously been there weeks and had made the inside of the kettle all rusty. I got a replacement kettle but it did not work. However, the biggest problem was the complete lack of any water in the morning. Having a good bathroom is totally useless if there is no water for a shower or even to clean your teeth. Don't start your day off in a bad mood like I did, just go somewhere else. " - Anonymous

"Very small rooms; reasonably priced when booked ahead over Internet. Friendly personnel. Only basic breakfast. Good location near underground for those arriving to Heathrow and continuing to city centre or elsewhere next day." - Tarmo Soomere
