Onestar Hotel Taipei

Hotel Location is strategic, very close to the Taipei town center, walking distance to 2 of the MRT service, with buses route nearby the hotel area as well. Next to the hotel is a 3D cinema and a convenient store (like 7 eleven), opposite the hotel with some small restaurants. Hotel provide free shuttle service to nearby places, free water supply, free tissue paper as well free cup noodle. The breakfast is not impressive but is average. (It is not a problem for me, because I would love to try local Taiwan foods rather than hotel foods) Hotel receptionist is friendly and helpful, the only thing i can complain is the room that i get without a window but is very clean and comfy.

People are friendly. Excellent location. However some hygiene issues as there were insert bites and the bed sheet were not changed for many days. Will think twice if I will choose the same hotel next time.

good enough to sleep in. hotel location is good. almost near mrt. walking distance. the hotel smells bad outside. maybe because the trash is near the lobby. and elevator old. tv old. but inside the room, its good enough to sleep in. what i love is the fast internet connection. and also free shuttle service. receptionist very helpful. also they offer free breakfast. make sure of the location using google map. its not the location that i expected before. its farther. and onestar is different from wonstar hotel.

Don't let the physical look of the location fool you. It does look run down but when you arrive IN the hotel, it's relatively acceptable with tidy and most importantly, clean rooms. The service is great, they provide free shuttle transport to the city, there's free internet service, free drinks and cup noodles which are replenished everyday and everyone is very helpful, friendly. There are shopping centres, snack shops and public train transport within the area. I would definitely recommend the hotel for a budget or short transit stay!

Hotel service is excellent. Very friendly and accomodating for special requests. They offered immediately to add in extra bed for us when they realized that we have requested for twin beds during booking but in actual fact, all their rooms are only double. They provide free transport to major MRT stations in Taipei. Location to nearest MRT station (Nanjing E. road station) is about 8-10mins away (if you are taller, maybe distance is shorter), further than we thought so the free transport is good and saves us from walking. Breakfast is simple, mainly Chinese dishes, feels like home-cooked meals which were ok for us. Hotel facility is simple, basic but clean.

The friendliness and excellent service of the front desk staff (not to mention the daily free 1-way shuttle) more than make up for the lack of facilties and boring breakfast.

Onestar-Chang An Hotel Taipei has exceeded my expectations greatly! Do not expect a grand entrance to the hotel reception, but instead, the hotel ambience and service standards will far outdo this shortcoming. Small room, yes, but comfortability is tops! The toiletries are refilled and changed everyday, not to mention the free internet access and free shuttle service to town that really blew my mind away. How can this small, budget hotel provide such exceptional services with such low prices?! You may encounter problems locating the hotel at first, but this is easily crubbed by the friendly taiwanese around you. Just ask, and they'll gladly guide you to where you're heading. I will definately return to Onestar on my next trip to Taipei!

Good as place to sleep over the night .. nothing fancy .. simple room, simple breakfast and great FOC wireless connection. For those with family , be aware of TV channel 15 , this is really one hard core channel.

The hotel is pretty basic but i'd recommend it. The airport bus goes from across the road, there's a 7-11 next door and it's quite near to everywhere. A good choice.

My wife and I stayed for 2 overnight at the hotel. September 15 and September 19 , 2007. The hotel has a very good location, just a few distance away from a big department store, MRT station and airport bus stop. Entrance is not so attractive as it seems to be a delivery entrance. The lobby at the 12th floor is good with the receptionist greeting you in their warm smile. On the first night we were given room 212 seems good but there seem to be a foul odor. The second night room (302) is good .You can rate it as 4 star room. The desk Manager speak good english and are very helpful. Likewise are the other receptionist who were very hospitable, accomodating and even assisted us personaly by showing by herself the airport bus stop. They offer shuttle service once a day for city trip Highly recommendable

The main entrance on the ground floor leading to the Hotel was shabby and enough to scare anyone away. However, as I entered the Hotel on the 12th floor, the atmosphere changes with the smile of the receptionist welcoming you, which made all the difference. The Hotel itself is very clean and has only one level; the rooms are more than up to standard. The breakfast area is small but cosy with mini buffet serving a choice of Western and Taiwanese . The Hotel even offered shuttle services to one destination per day for each guest within Taipei. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at One Star, the Hotel staffs were all cheerful and helpful, and you almost felt like staying at a 5 Star Hotel not a One Star. This Hotel is surely valued for MONEY!
