Getting there:There are two main ferry services to Waiheke Island. Fullers operates a passenger ferry from downtown Auckland to Matiatia approximately every hour between 6am and 11.45pm. Full ferry time tables can be found on the Fullers website ( http://www.fullers.co.nz/ ). Approximate travel time is 35 minutes. Sealink operate from Half Moon Bay to Kennedy Point 12 times a day with additional summer sailings from downtown Auckland. You can go onboard as a foot passenger as well. We had a wonderful stay at the Onetangi Beachfront Apartments. The room wsa comfortable with all amenities we required. We had the best sleep we've had in a long time and will be recommending the apartments to friends and family. I would suggest that there is clear , prominent signage at the counter re cut off times for ordering breakfast. When people get comfy and relaxed, they aren't thinking about things like that till bed time. Might be good also to let people know there is the opportunity to ring out for takeaways from the room.
The Studio Apartments are situated around our lush green courtyard, 50 metres from the beach. Each unit has its own patio or deck and is available on the ground floor or first floor. Each Studio can sleep up to two people in a King or Queen bed, and some beds can be split into singles as required. They also offer the option of a fold-out sofa bed, sleeping up to two more guests (surcharges apply).
