At The Orwell Lodge you are assured of a warm welcome from our team and a friendly atmosphere throughout your stay. Originally an elegant Victorian mansion house in the grand Scottish tradition. The hotel comprises ten bedrooms, located on the first and second floors and all are accessible via a majestic central staircase.
The hotel bar offers true Scottish colour and character with a traditional pub feel and broad range of regular customers from the local area, serving a wide selection of food and drinks. As well as the main bar there are also extensive meeting and banqueting possibilities offered in the conference wing adjoining the main building, perfect for your special occasion.
Accessibility to and from the hotel is second to none; with our private car park and ease of access to the Edinburgh bypass any travelling is simple and relaxed. From the West End of Princes Street (A8) turn right into Lothian Road heading North. Continue up Lothian Road through 5 sets of traffic lights, following the signs to Biggar along the A702. At the traffic lights at Tollcross take a vear right into Home Street. At the Kings Theatre traffic lights turn right into Lower Gilmore Place. Continue along this road for halfmile and over the mini roundabout. The Orwell Lodge Hotel is located on the corner of the crossroads at the traffic lights opposite the chruch. |
