We have three units with spas and everything one would expect from a four star development. As self contained units, cooking facilities are available in all units and breakfast is included in the tariff. The establishment is licensed, giving our clients the ability to buy alcohol from the mini-bar and office. Our fourth unit is a twin and is suitable for our disabled clients and has all the same facilities except for the spa. The grounds of Wirreanda Estate are spacious and well developed, with natural bush and large lawn areas, both native and specimen trees dotted around, giving delightful areas to walk, explore. Dining on the outdoor settings which are placed around the property, is a must. An abundance of nocturnal native animals, also make Wirreanda their home and can be viewed from the units. The ambiance of the area is relaxing, with great walks to Oyster Cove (just two kilometers from the complex) and for the more energetic, Kettering is just six kilometers away.

Getting there:
Oyster Cove Chalet is just 35 kilometers and 25 minutes from central Hobart. Directions as follows: Head south out of central Hobart along Davey street to the SOUTHERN OUTLET a distance of 10km through to the suburb of Kingston. Traveling through Kingston, Continue in the same southerly direction along the B68 and after the "KFC" roundabout onto the now named, CHANNEL HWY (B68). From the roundabout, the distance is about 17.2km traveling through the small towns of Margate & Snug before a left turn at MANUKA RD in OYSTER COVE. We are number 42 Manuka Road Oyster Cove and the Manuka Road turn off and sign is clearly marked on the corner. Note: prior to the turn off look out for the Oyster Cove Chalet "blue and yellow" road signs on the B68 just before you reach Manuka Road.

Check-in Procedure:
Our office closes at 7pm. If you are checking in after this time please phone us and arrange for your key and breakfast from the after hours duty manager.

Car parking:
Our car parking is adjacent to our units and is secure. There is someone on the property 24 hours a day.

Hosts Fran and Gary were great and very helpful with gerneral info, places to go and not to. Rooms self contained with everything you could possiably need. Situated only 20-25 minutes south of Hobart you can base your self at Oyster Cove Chalet and see the sights of hobart and surounds quick trip to the islands, with out the bussel of the city. Are going back to Tassi will deffiently stay there agsin but for longer.
