"I was struck by the warmth of the welcome when I arrived - and in the bar! - and particularly a very generous lift by one of the staff into central Christchurch when I had only about 2 hours to explore the Cathedral, Art Gallery and Museum before catching a shuttle from the hotel to the airport.
