Getting there:From Auckland Airport head north over the North Harbour Bridge. Follow signs for Whangarei and Cape Reinga keep heading north to Kawakawa, and follow signs for Bay of Islands and Paihia. Follow road into Paihia take first turning left on Paihia waterfront into Kings Road. We are on the right.

Great reasonably priced motel - the room was comfortable and clean, and the staff gave good tips on what to do at Paihia.

Great because it was off the main street, so it was private, but yet it was in walking distance to everything. Reception and owners very friendly, and helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, Karen,Stuart and all the staff could not have been more helpful, we would certainly have no hesitation in recommending Paihia Pacific Resort Hotel as a base for all your touring needs, and also to try the Stonegrill menu (its a must)
Warm and friendly welcome, we are a family of two adults and two children, the room was spacious and clean. We only ate in the Restaurant for breakfast (included in rate)- again this was very clean and the service was friendly. Definately recommended.
Wonderful friendly staff, nice & quiet but only a short 2 minute walk to the beach and centre of town. Great food, nice pool. Very relaxing, I booked in for a second night.
Excellent location. Very friendly service, we were always greated with a smile. The restaurant is very good with a Stonegrill menu. The internet is somewhat slow.

Hotel is in dire need of renovation and upgrade, no parking when i was there for "Regency" rooms and management didnt seem to care, other than that everything was very clean and well equipped

Just want to personally thank Karen and Stuart for a pleasurable stay @ their hotel. Kids loved the use of all the facilities available as part of our getaway package which definitely defined this. Will definitely return next time but change my room in future. Need bubbly people such as the owners @ reception and also @ the restaurant which I think was needed the most. Thanks again for a great get away and enjoy your Xmas and New Year, look forward to seeing you again!!

Good hotel with great service. While not on waterfront still had easy access to beach and to the shopping / tourist activities.
We were impressed with the friendly and helpful service of the reception staff. The room was clean, especially the bathroom facilities.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there-- will go there again. One observation: there aren't any lifts to the first floor where the rooms are located. This can be a hassle with heavy baggage to carry up.
