The hotel was very impressive. We went there for a special anniversary and that was recognised with a small gift in the room. The room we had was very well appointed, but i have stayed in many hotels that come very close for much less. Nonetheless it was a great experence - you've got to rent a pool cabana for the day with one of the poolside packages - very special and unique. Marina Mirage next door also offers great dining options.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay last month. Highly recommended!
The service at Vie Restuarant was exceptional however the service received by the poolside and at check in when I first arrived was slow. I had to walk up to the bar and order from drink by the pool when others received personal service on the beach. At check in I felt ignored with staff attending to other people and directing me to go to the other side to be served. Loved my room and enjoyed my stay overall.

Be wary, when you book through Hotel Club they do no guarantee your room configuration. I booked a superior room with King bed and got stuck with 2 Queensize beds. It was okay, but not what I had booked
The service was not what we expected. They forgot to deliver our newspaper. When our room was made up, we had only one towel and one bath mat. When we rang and asked for our second towel and hand towels and washers,they asked if we could wait until they did turn down - we said no as we needed to shower to go out. 45 mins later I had to ring again to get the towels which were then delivered. When we went to go out, we couldn't shut our door - the latch had almost fallen off and we had to wait for maintenance to come and fix it. That being said, we did have a lovely weekend and our dinner at Vanita and they gave me a lovely small bottle of perfume for our anniversary. The decor is really amazing - so ornate. The service just wasn't what we expected from a place with such a reputation.
Peak period of guest activity within the hotel does not seem to produce a commensurate increase in staff or service activity
It was quite lovely to stay here. I have been to the Gold Coast many times and this was by far the best hotel we have stayed at. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. There was a lot for the kids to do so I would very much recommend it to families. It is in the higher price range but well worth it. Heather Sharpe

palazzo versace that i stay at was great, service was fantastic, will definately book again and stay there.
Stayed for 4 nights. The first night was New Years Eve with a inhouse party. Excellent accommodation, service, care and attention to detail. Great breakfast and lagoon pool. Only downside is that 90% of the people at staying at this resort were families. Noisy kids at the pool, dining and foyer. Also. there was a flow of tourist that were entering the resort to take photos therefore, camera flashes and no privacy. Would not recommend for singles or couples.
A beautiful hotel but it lacks a souvenior shop within the hotel. Service at the restaurants and afternoon tea were very courteous. The reception person was thoroughly professional and took time to explain the hotel's features as he handed the hotel cards to us. We had a room directly above the entrance of the car park and location wise, is an inferior feature for an $800/night room. Expect the Kawai Piano to be a Fazioli, all things being Italian. Also the Versace shop is sterile and lacks character.
Just love this hotel so much. looking forward to go stay again! lovely place, lovely staff!
