I was there for 2 nights on business, just the right room for me, i had the private bungalow with a verandah, ref and some facilities to knock up a quick snack. Great hot water and pressure and clean toilets, always the 1st thing I look for in a hotel room. Comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. Great walking areas just across the road on the waterfront and very close to the main shopping hub, stores, restaurants and pubs. Quiet and set amoungst the gardens.... Wioll definetly stay there again...
I thoroughy enjoyed my stay. My only complaint was that on having breakfast on Tuesday morning I found the hot dishes were all just warm and was a little disappointed that there wasn't more variety in the hot dishes - e.g. mushrooms, tomatoes and another variety of cooked eggs, not just scrambled.

Very good location. The cheap rooms are average, but solid. Be careful when booking because you can think you are getting a good room by looking at the photos on their website when you are actually getting an average room. How you get a good room in the little cabins is the trick.
Good value for money
Superior motel room was great stayed for 4 nights, with the microwave, aircon, balcony, service everyday new towels great paintings (prints) in the room, little steak house with live music on the corner, didn't need a car, would have liked to know the check out was 11 not 10am but didn't care stayed in the pool after cecking out. Lovely.
Good sized rooms. Relaxing gardens and pool. Walking distance to great pubs and restaurants
Very central, close to good restaurants, helpful staff and nice gardens. Would definitely recommend this hotel/resort.
Friendly people, great location. Prompt housekeeping. Definately would stay at Palms City Resort again
Bungalows are good, have verandah with BBQ quite handy. Good pool. Close to everthing in town.
Thanks to all the staff
The stay at the Palms City Resort was a most enjoyable 4 days. I would like to thank the staff and management for there help whilst Sue and I enjoyed the top end of Australia.
nice pool. rooms are clean and adequate. staff offers nothing special in service. location is ok and walking distance to the beach front. since we drove, it is ok. parking spaces can be tough at times due to limited parking. walking distance to the supermarket nearby for easy re-stock of food. microwave and BBQ pits are great as we have a baby in tow.
excellent facilities great stay just a few cobwebs
Nice place to stay, close to Esplanade and CBD. Lovely gardens and facilities to sit out on veranda.
Rooms very small. Room staff very friendly & helpful unfortunately front desk staff disinterested. Parking limited & a long way from rooms - difficult for people with luggage. Lots of roadside noise.
The hotel location is good but the new villas are far too close to the road and therefor very noisy and disturbing especially when flights get in so late at night. Dinner room needs an update and very stark and basic. Long way to carry luggage from the reception to the villa which is a long way. It would have not been friendly to a disabled or ederly guest. I was booked for two nights but did not stay for the second night but booked in elsewhere which was an added expense.
Great place and will stay there again next year wonderful
very basic hotel with small room size in villa and kind of overpriced. i can't even get access to a powerpoint converter and toothbrush in my villa, not even from reception desk. Walls are alittle thin. THe BBQ pit was a good idea. as run on electricity, we just walk to nearby coles in mitchell center and buy what we need! Cheap, good and balcony experience! Swimming pool was small but adequate. Near the esplanade area but walkable to smith street and mitchell street.
Points for providing 3 single beds as per the booking.
Great villas, with nice outdoor area.
