A modern hotel with 138 en-suite bedrooms all furnished to the highest standard, the Palms Hotel is easily accessible to all types of traveller.It features a bar with an extensive menu, has 13 conference rooms and can cater for functions for up to 300 people.

Getting there:
Just of junction 29 of the M25, we are within easy reach of Stanstead airport, 16 miles from Central London and 10 min drive from local towns, Romford and Brentwood. We are also 1.5 miles from Harold Wood Mainline station and 1.5 miles from Upminster tube station, giving just a 20 minute journey time into Central London by rail.

Check-in Procedure:
Check in time is from 1400 hrs and check out is by 1100 hrs. We operate a 24 hour Reception desk but it is advisable to call us if you are going to arrive after 2300 hrs. Early check ins and late check outs are available at an extra charge on request.

Car parking:
Free car parking is available for up to 250 cars including coach parking. The hotel operates a CCTV camera but vehicles are left at owners risk

Child Policy:
We can provide camp beds for children under 10 but a charge may be applicable- please check with the hotel when you book.

A bit out the way but for the price we got first class

The room was satisfactory and the bed was comfortable,although we were taken to the wrong room at first due to it already being in use. The manager did offer us a free breakfast the next morning,but we did not take it as we slept in late. The corridors needed some redecoration and I feel that some of the directions around the hotel could have been a bit larger and clearer. We didn't use the bar so I cannot make any comment. Although not far from a major road there was no noise so that was a plus factor.

On arrival I found there was no coax for the TV therefore no reception. This was reported to the duty manager who offered to move me to another room. This offer was declined but accepted the offer of complimentary dinner. Thanks

Perhaps not the most modern or best looking of hotels, but in terms of function, there was plenty of parking, it was next to a main road but the room was quiet and I had a good nights sleep - that's all that matters! The staff were friendly and helpful. Only 5 minutes taxi ride to the train station (£5). From the Romford town centre back to the hotel cost £12 at 3am. I didn't have any food while I was there and they did not advertise free Wireless Internet access (I assumed they did not have it, so I didn't try). I would certainly use the hotel again if I was in the area.

I had a very big problem with the bathroom. The shower curtain was to small for the bath and the water flooded the place. We had to ask for extra towels to put on the floor when taking a shower. I also slipped on the wet floor and badly bruised my side which I reported to the reception manager. I have had to go to see a doctor about this.
