Enjoy a spot of shopping on Princes Street arguably Britain's most famous retail venue outside London. There are many superb restaurants in the exciting redeveloped Port o' Leith nearby the hotel as well as the former Royal Yacht Britannia now berthed at Ocean Terminal a modern cinema and shopping complex in dockland. For the historians amongst you the hotel faces onto the Leith Links, the world's first golf course and where Mary Queen of Scots learnt the game. Oliver Cromwell's new model army camped on the links when the Iron Duke 'visited' our city in the seventeenth century.
