Good location. Nice hotel. Hotel rooms need a make over, showing signs of age. Toilet needed to be serviced 8 times during 4 day stay, very frustrating. upgraded to Grand deluxe room from standard room . Not worth it. View of the beach but room was smaller than the standard room and did not have a proper shower. eg shower in bath. Standard room has a proper shower. Staff very good.

We found the whole stay a pleasure. We arrived around 1am but we still found the front counter staff happy and welcoming. The room which was a ocean view room was fantastic. The staff were always friendly with a smile and a hello. The breakfast was great as was the sunset bar and cool bananas. The location was good also not far to the shopping centres and walk out the front door to the night markets. all in all a great hotel

WONDERFUL HOTEL, EXCELLENT STAFF, GREAT POOL AND BEACH AT FRONT.....

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We got a great rate too which made it even better. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Such a wide selection. Western, asian, fresh fruits, fresh juices, omelet cooked in front of you, etc etc. Many other hotels could learn a thing or two from this one!

Locaton be good if you want to spend most of your time by the beach side.

Great place with gym, nice pool facing the beach, lots of space with many lounge chairs for sunbathing. A nice aroma of lemon grass upon entering the hotel. Directly accessible by bus 102 from airport in about 30 minutes. Had a relaxing and great time there!

we have a pleasant stay in this hotel. this hotel is very convenience and you're able to find restaurant/cafe and even the night market just right outside the hotel.

The hotel is right on the Peneng main beach. The sea waters are not clean but the hotel offers a nice pool in its gardens with bar and massage facilities. Staff is very friendly. The airport and bus station is about 45 mins away by taxi. In fact we only enjoyed the beach during our day trip by boatto Langawi; Peneng beach is not recommended.

This hotel is out of Penang but Batu Ferringi is beautiful. Worth staying at. Staff made it worth staying. Clean facility.

overall ok...the beach is a bit off...the sand was rough...u have to swim while the boat is busily gliding ple up in the air...the rope is the scarily part, while walking up and down from the beach...

I've been staying at the Park Royal for over 10 years. The spacious lobby area and lounge Staff is great place to relax. The lawns and pool area are large and it is always possible to find a quite spot under a treee if need be. The restaurant and food is very good. Staff are very friendly and remember you from previous visits. The position on the strip is good. However, one bad mark are the Quad 4 bikes that go along the beach. They are noisy and dangerous. If these are not removed soon I will find another resort.

Our first room was too noisey so when requested they did not hesitate to change our room.

The hotel is on the main street running along the beach, and is close to night markets and only a short stroll to local food court at Long Beach, which is fantastic place to get cheap and tasty food at night. The first room they gave us was close to a temple of some sort nearby (on the left hand side of the resort as you face the resort from the street) and was very noisy - the temple recited somekind of prayer or hymn all day long -really loud microphone. We asked for a different room and they put us in a room on the otherside of the resort - it was quieter, but then we could see all the dirty laundry near the tennis court downstairs. The pool area is a bit small ish, considering the size of the resort, and bathrooms need a bit of renovation - the paint job seem very unprofessional. However, overall pleasant stay, nicely done bar/reception, cute pool/recreational area. Also check out the jewellery shop in the hotel- they have an interesting collection.

We booked Parkroyal after another hotel we stayed on in on Penang turned out to be a hovel. Despite the fact that we booked through [website] about 30min before we arrived it being 10am, the staff organised us a room immediately and about 10min after we settled into the cosy but beautiful clean room, a concierge brought flowers for us as a honeymoon gift! This level of service extended throughout the rest of our trip with the restaurant, recreation and front of house staff all being extremely professional as well as personable. Parkroyal is an easy walk to the rest of Batu Ferringhi as well as being conveniently placed for transport to the rest of the island. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Parkroyal for any visitors to the wonderful island which is Penang - equipped for both romantic and family holidays, and although a little more expensive than some others in Batu Ferringhi - great value if you're searching for a little comfort with your culture!

if you are planning on going to penang, batu ferhengi beach is the place to stay, the hotel is nice a nice one and you also get an option to do your own laundry which is good, the thing i did not like about the hotel is the tours they offer are a rip off you are way better off arranging them by your self especially if you are with a bigger group. dont rent a taxi by the hour you are better of just renting them from place to place, stay away from the bell capatains ( porters ) always rent a taxi by your self and always haggle with them it pays off the bell boys try to keep their cut in every deal.

EXCELLENT HOTEL BUT FOOD AND DRINK PRICES EXHORBITANT. STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THERE ARE SOME VERY GOOD AND REASONABLY PRICED RESTAURANTS AND BARS NEARBY TURN RIGHT OUTSIDE THE HOTEL

A fabulous 10 night stay -we asked for an upgrade with a balcony and within 10 minutes we were given this. Staff were very polite and made every effort to accommodate needs. Drinks are $10AUD for cocktails. Happy hour 20% off at 5pm- beer and wine buy one get one free. Breakfast was excellent. Coco Bananas cafe offered great snacks at good prices ($10 AUD). Nightly, themed buffets at night in restaurant, however, we did n-markets. Rooms are comfortable and housekeeping very good. The decor is maintained and is good quality given the age of the hotel. Don't expect brand new, but don't expect to be disappointed. Day Spa is sensational and not as cheap as outside operators. The service, decor and quality is good. Night markets are right outside the hotel at night. We were really happy staying here. I'd stay again and recommend it. Particularly good for families with a seperate pool and slide and the coco-kids-club was popular with a host of activities for children.

super food presentation, quanity and quality super staff - the friendless and most helpful i have ever met in a hotel anywhere in the world that i have traveled to ! highly recommend for this region !
