Patong Paragon Resort & Spa Phuket

Very nice room but slightly spoilt by dirty aircon. Service was poor as the hotel is understaffed - a fact acknowledged by the management. I sent an email complaint to the GM and, impressively, he replied very promptly apologising. Worth a try if you want to be near the beach.

Absoutely amazing - the pool is great, buffet breakfast had western food as well as dimsum, and the people are really friendly. The one and only criticism I would make is that the beds are really hard. For us it wasnt too big an issue but for others it could be. Would definitely recommend this hotel

My stay at Paragon was very enjoyable.The rooms are large and facing out onto a beautiful designer swimming pool.Very nice buffet breakfast with table service and staff well groomed.State of the art Gymnasium.A much quieter hotel as its just a few minutes to main area of Patong.

We had an excellent time in the Patong Paragon from 06/01/08 until 11/01/08. A brandnew hotel with very clean and spacious rooms with all amenities that can be expected - we did not notice anything about lack of room cleaning. The swimming pool is very nice. The breakfast was excellent, unlike most places in Thailand. Also the food&beverages served in the restaurant was excellent, a pity that so few people eat in there. Staff is very helpful and despite reviews complaining about lack of English language skills, it seems that the staff received training because all staff we spoke with had sufficient skills to be easily understandable. Since the hotel is situated on the crossroad of 2 busy roads, make sure to ask for a room that has a view on the pool. Overall, the hotel was a quiet haven in a hectic place as Patong. We will definitely stay there again.

In general very good. Location excellent, being close to the beach, within walking distance or very short cab ride from restaurant and shopping areas, but far enough away from the really noisy areas. Pool access room was fantastic but found the opening and closing times for the pool a little bit too short ie 7:00pm close. Pricing on the room was good, restaurant and bar pricing a little high for Thailand. Overall this was not a problem as convenience store situated straight across the road mean incidentals and drinks etc could be purchsed easily and cheaply. Overall very happy. would definitely stay ther again.

PROS: The rooms were really comfortable and decorated very nicely. Air con worked a dream, and the bathrooms were spectacular! The hotel is all built around the pool, which is quite large and has a swim up bar, and the lobby was really comfortable (important when you spend time waiting for tours!). CONS: Not many staff spoke English which presented a problem at certain times, and the desk staff had no idea what 'Rates to Go' was, and it took over an hour to process at checkout. Not many smiles from staff either

this is a great new hotel and it's right up the end of patong beach (read =away from the maddening crowds) whilst still being very accessible. staff very nice. super clean and very nicely decorated and appointed rooms. pool area is nice too. selection in the restaurant (only had breakfast there though) was quite wide (ie: western and asian) i would stay there again for sure.

The patong paragon is a beatiful hotel with warm welcoming staff that are forever smiling and always helpful. The hotel is immaculate and is positioned in a great place. The superior and the deluxe rooms are both stunning but the superior has two single beds where as the deluxe has a king size bed. Balconies overlook the pool or the beach.Breakfast is superb and the choices vary every morning but the standard breakfast is always available.We loved our time there and have put it No.1 on our list of hotels to stay at when we next return to Phuket.

This hotel is located on a busy junction at the northern end of Patong Beach. It is longish walk to the nightlife areas but then again not disturbed by late night noise. The road traffic is a little noisy but no so much as to be invasive we found. The hotel is a little impersonal but the rooms and bathroom is spacious and very modern though a little impersonal. Service was generally good although as usual hotel prices were a bit steep compared to outside especially when 10% service and 7% VAT added. However the room rates represent very good value for money given the lovely pool which occupies the centre of the site with the hotel being built around thus offering plenty of much needed shade for those who want it. I would stay there again but would like to see the hotel made more homely with pictures and other such furnishing additions. Good safe and minbar provided - good value

very beautiful new hotel that is relaxed and comforting, rooms are very nice and the towels are soft and fluffy. if you want internet and laundry and other services like this, its best to go outside as the hotel is steep for this.

Fantastic hotel, had only been open for 3 weeks when I stayed there so still had that new feel. Rooms are large and very comfortable, pool is awesome veiw to pool is great from all rooms, staff were great and very freindly. Short walk to Bangala Rd (10mins). Didnt eat there so not sure on food but it did look good. The only downfall was the price of Drinks they where a little high compared to anywhere else I stayed.
