You have a metro station also just a few minutes walking from Hotel Pedras Rubras. With the metro you may go to the nearest city centres like Oporto, Matosinhos and Póvoa do Varzim. The advertised resturaunt did not exist. The snack bar was able to warm a frozen pizza for us. The room (that we had) was very large. The hotel is really only a ten min. walk from the airport. We spent 6 euros for a five min taxi ride instead. We walked for less than 10 min. to get to the metro whick we took to down town. I would go back.
Set in bleak, industrial surroundings (warehouse, expressway, etc.), but only a five-minute WALK from airport. Inexpensive and very convenient; rooms and baths quite large and comfortable.
A strange mix of very modern building but a bit out dated facilities. It felt more like a clinic than a hotel. That being said it's as close to the airport as possible without actually being in the airport, so very convenient.
We were leaving at 5.30 hour in the morning but it was imposseble to get a breakfast nat that time. There was also not to get a lunchpakket the evening before. It is a pitty because many flights are leaving in the night
Very convenient location to the airport, with large rooms and huge bath/jacuzzi.
Very difficult to find the location!
Very spacious room with big bed just few steps from the airport. Excellent 50 euros price. Good for early morning flights. The bigest problem was to find the hotel in the dark the evening before. There are no signs from the airport and it is a bit out of main streat so no shining "hotel" sign are visible. And Sunday night the area was empty. Good that after 15 min of driving around we met a police car and it showed us the place.
Very comfortable room, beautiful bathroom, but be careful of the marble floor, could do with some modification as it's a bit hazardous to say the least. Very convenient for the airport, with shuttle bus, food was a little on the expensive side. If breakfast isn't included in the deal it will cost Euro 10 per person. Overall the perfect place to stay for an early flight from Porto airport.
Location is excellent if you need somewhere close to the airport with shuttle service. We stayed one night and upgraded from a regular room to an executive suite for an extra 35 euros. The executive suite is HUGE with large jacuzzi, king size bed, luxury bathroom and minibar. A real treat! Ate at the restaurant and the food was good and reasonably priced. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.
Great hotel location wise for anyone with a late night or early morning flight from Oporto Airport, only a few mins walk to the terminal. Good value for money.
Hotel very close to Porto airport.Good location if taking plane. Also good choice for people driving because hotel has easy parking.Getting to central area is easy,metro station a few minutes' walk,but prepare for half hour metro ride.Modern and good quality hotel.

The hotel looks plain from the outside, but don't be put off. Our room was imaginatively designed, split level, with a sunken spa bath, spotlessly clean, and despite being an airport hotel, there wasn't the slightest noise.

Petras Rubras is a nicely designed modern hotel and excellent value for money. Though really close to the terminal it is not easy to find in the dark, even with directions from tourist information staff. Badly signposted. Restaurant closes at 21.30 hrs. For late arrivals only tepid pizzas are available. Yet ,will return!
