"I had a single room that could have been better cleaned,the very small shower and toilet smelt awful, which a good desinfectant cleaner would put right. The smell was of stale smoke even though the room was supposed to be a non-smoking one, I had to spray my deo whenever I had to go to the shower and toilet.
The old finger prints from past guests could be seen all over the doorbon the cupboard and all over the TV,which meant no proper dusting was done.
The mattress and pillow(1) was soft and not very comfortable. This hotel needs to employ proper cleaners and professional staff. Its really a place that I will never ever visit again or recommend to others. Even if it is only a ***, it could have been better kept. Front facing rooms not a wise choice as very heavy traffic runs day and night and the windows are not double glazed to limit the noise." - Anonymous
"lift was broken. No staff were available to help me carry my heavy suitcase up two flights of stairs. Poor decor. Otherwise, facilities were good, bedding was clean and comfortable, everything we needed, room was nice and warm. Breakfast was a buffet in the next door sister hotel and consisted of cereal, cheese, toast, tea, coffee and orange squash. I had to ask for drinking water." - Ruth Lightbody
