We offer a variety of accommodation, from our 3.5 star motel style rooms, 2 bedroom self contained apartments, spa suite and budget accommodation. The Budget Accommodation is in a separate 2 star Motel across the road from the main motel. We are a short distance from Port Stephens' pristine waterways, offering fantastic fishing, safe boating and both bay and ocean swimming and surfing.

Getting there:Follow the freeway North of Sydney to Hexham, cross the Hunter River and follow the signs to Nelson Bay. After arrival at Nelson Bay follow the signs to Shoal Bay. We are situated midway between Nelson and Shoal Bay, just 200 meters past the Nelson Bay RSL Club (on left).
Check-in Procedure:Check In is from 2pm, Check Out is 10am. Arrivals after 8.30pm will need to be verified with the Motel the day prior to arrival.
Car parking:Off-street parking is provided for guests.

Although the room wasn't modern it was clean & comfortable. The staff were excellent & breakfast was very nice. We stayed in the budget accommodation & had very noisy neighbours. Considering the motel wasn't filled to capacity I was surprised to have teenagers right next door. They were apparently having a great time enjoying a very active night!
Nice clean room for a short stay, which corresponds with the name - "Motel". Pity, a DVD player is still a luxury feature - they are so cheap nowdays! The other problem was the internet - you have to pay for it and then you have connection drop-outs every 3 minutes.

A value-for-money accommodation with good facilities for short stays. Will go back again if I visit Port Stephens again
gap around the air conditioner. hot water tap in shower come off. cleaner where good. this is along way below average was not worth $ 145 per night.
The only suggestion I would have is there should be two (2) pillows per person and not one otherwise the service was very good
We were very pleased with our stay at peninsola motor inn nelson bay.
The Motel was quiet loved our personal space cleaning staff very helpful in every sense of the word. Many Thanks.

A good neat hotel where you can enjoy your privacy and the excellent service of the staff. We enjoyed it. The breakfast option was best value.
This is close to the RSL, which is very ordinary, and not in walking distance to any other restaurants other than the motel's which is pleasant, but shoe box-ish. Nice people, but too far away from restaurants for us. Also all units are upstairs - not good for big luggage and no self catering facilities in the room. But clean and pleasant inside.
