This is the third time my wife and I have stayed there, it is very affordable almost cheap by Sydney standards. It may be a little old but it's spotlessly clean the staff are very friendly and the room service for breakfast is not only cheap but outstanding! Value for money you couldn't go past it and the location is central to Penrith all in all highly recommended.
Ok motel but 15 minutes walk from nearest train station. Good base for travelling to the blue mountains - 1 hour by train. Room was basic but clean.

We only stayed o/n but the staff were extremely friendly and the room neat and tidy. We would stay again.
Had only one night at Penrith Valley Inn. The hotel doesn't look flash, but our room was clean and comfortable and accommodated our family of 5. The receptionist was very friendly on the phone and also in person. Happy to recommend.
Very comfortable and close to all the Penrith facilities. Thank you for your friendly service.
Perfectly adequate, clean, roomy accommodation. Much traffic noise due to being on highway. Take earplugs
very short stay but i found it to be very quiet and comfortable accomodation for me and my family
We recently stayed here in a family room and loved it, the kids loved the pool, the room was very clean and the service was wonderful. We will definately stay there again.
the staff were very friiendly and most helpfull i not not hesitate to stay there again if i was in the area every thing was just great thankyou....
The room was very large and spacious and the spa was so relaxing
I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. It is very comfortable and clean, and the location is excellent, walking distance from the shopping centre, train station and a river walk. Above all, the staff is very friendly - they will really look after you!
Clean, tidy, very helpful and pleasant staff. Will stay again.
The Penrith Valley Inn is more a motel than a hotel. Breakfast to your room is available but there is no bar or restaurant. There is a swimming pool. The location is good, a quiet area but with convenient access to Penrith's main shopping area (and the excellent Sutherland Theatre), as well as the Hawkesbury riverside and its parks. The room was large, clean, quiet and comfortable. If you are in Penrith to use the State Records at Kingswood, this is a good place to stay as the Archive is only about 10 minutes easy drive away. Access to and from the PVI is via a street off the GW Highway just before the bridge over the river - quite easy. The Log Cabin Hotel with its bar and riverside restaurant is about 3 minutes walk away. I have stayed at the Penrith Valley Inn a couple of time now and will do so again on my next visit to the State Records. If you have to stay in Penrith for a night or two, this is a good choice for price and location.
If you like bacon and eggs for breakfast this is the place-the bacon here is better than that served in Sydney's 4 star buffets.
We had a family room which was quite spacious and comfortably furnished. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The negatives are there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom and the windows in the room do not open, therefore there is no fresh air in room only aircon
The motel definately needs some work in the rooms. The bathroom requires a renovation desparately. The air con needs to be repositioned in the room we stayed in. The description is definately what you see is what you get. However being one that has stayed in numerous motels, the good, bad and pitifull. This one rates below average. A good renovation would make this motel an exceptional place. But once again its the question of lets make money and not spend it.
We visited Penrith for the World Dragon Boat Racing Championships, and found the hotel helpful, comfortable and well placed for the Penrith Lakes.
Quite comfortable. Double glazing stopped noise from a main road. Toiletries in the bathroom were mostly empty and phone had been disconnected. Would improve rating if an info booklet had been provided. Good breakfast at reasonable rate. I noted very low occupancy (a Tues night) as only a few cars in the carpark.
I stayed there because I was going out in Penrith and didn't want to drive all the way back to Sydney the same night. The staff were friendly, it's definatly a budget motel but with that in mind it's reasonable. It's is easy to find and not far from the shops etc. It was suprisingly quiet even though the room I was in had it's window facing onto a main road. Good place for an overnighter.
