Peppers Beacon Queenstown

This is a very nice resort right across from Lake Wakatepu and a very short stroll into the town centre. Staff we dealt with were very friendly,courteous and had a sense of humour. The restaurant only catered for breakfasts but had a good selection of food with friendly helpful staff. The front parking was a little bit difficult to negotiate and we were blocked exiting when a shuttle psrked in the drive to let passengers off, however there is better parking from the back entrance. Recommended for a stay.

Peppers was a great stay. Very short walk to QT. Our room was wonderful and the view was subperb..We will be back and i hope we will be lucky enough to get the same room..The only down fall i thought was the TV could do with an upgrade.

Would definitely stay here again, stayed in a court yard 2 bedroom, which due to it's location also had views of the lake. Ideal for a family or small group of friends, very roomy, bbq's out the door. Our only disappointment was the Spa was not operational.

My son and I stayed at Peppers Beacon while on a ski trip and loved it. The staff were amazing, friendly and so helpful. The apartment was cleaned daily. The position was great, only a five minute walk to the centre of town and the view was beautiful. I highly recommend staying at Peppers Beacons Queenstown.

The hotel room is extreamly small, and is a interconnecting room. That basically means every door slam, and everytime the next door talks, you can hear! Would rather pay the extra $$$ to get a 1 bedroom instead. the Gym facility is very basic, spa is ok, parking is free. location is nice, opposite the lake, but the hotel room views are very limited! Some staff were great to deal with, that made life more happier for the 6 nights i stayed there, their names are: Rob (front office Reception), Sarah (office manager) and Alexandra (Reservation Manager), they were happy to talk with if you needed a question and willing to help in a number of occasions. Not happy with the other staff, it felt to me that they were fake and made a big deal when i winged about the room. Cleaning crew were excellent, especially the spanish guy and the ladies that cleaned the rooms, they were very polite! Thanks again for the stay! from room 711...

Overall a good hotel to stay. However service was hit and miss. There was no lounge suite in the studio room, which made it less comfortable. We asked to change room, or have a lounge sofa to replace the small chairs, but seemed to have been forgotten with no feedback to complete our enquiry. I would not stay in studio room again, and may not stay in the hotel again, due to this lack of service.

Great hotel. Very well situated and an easy stroll into town. Great view of the lake and mountains. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good car parking. We would stay there again.

Loved staying at Peppers Beacon. We had a studio room which was more like a suite with a separate sleeping room with a very comfortable king size bed. The staff were very most friendly and helpful and we had a good but slightly obscured view of the lake and mountain. Overall, I would recommend this as a great place to stay right opposite the lake and only a few minutes walk to the centre of town where all the restaurants and shops are located. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely stay here. Great location, and easy flat walk to town. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Our only complaint was the chairs for sitting in while watching tv were very uncomfortable, and they need a light over the bench. Otherwise no complaints. We would go there again.

this was a great hotel and especially for the price we paid. It was only a short walk from Queenstown central and the view from the balcony of the Remarkables was "remarkable"! And the desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful. A very satisfied customer!

Nice enough room for the special price but would not pay rack rate. For the advertised standard, it is looking a bit tired and found the lack of vanity in the bathroom a real problem. Great view though, and handy to walk around Queenstown.

Road works outside the hotel was a little early first thing in the morning on the first morning of our stay.

Awesome 1 bedroom apartment with a view to die for. Very impressed with the room. Full kitchen, 2x lounges, king size bed, 2x TV's, heated floor in the bathroom, gas fire, washing machine, full dining table... It was an awesome place only a few mins walk from town with free under cover off street parking. Would definately stay there again!!

Peppers Beacon was in an excellent position in Queenstown. The basic cooking facilities enabled some meals to be cooked instead of eating out. The staff were very helpful and friendly. On site free guest laundry was a surprising change.

I stayed here for 2 nites. Front Desk service was very good, room was excellent, modern, clean, good heating, very comfortable bed, bathroom compact but functional, furniture appropriate. Quite good value, good location just 5 mins easy, level walk along the waterfront in ZQN. Will definately stay there again. Well recomended !!
