I was very happy with the hotel. Very close to Union Station, walkable to my meetings near the Capital. Great room, if small. Friendly staff. My only two minor problems were: the coffee maker in the room was lousy, and when I went down to breakfast, I was unsure of the seating protocol, and so was ignored by the staff. After a few minutes, I left. Overall, I would stay here again.
the hotel just few blocks to the capitol hill. it is very convenient.

We were coming in from NY on a very late train and wanted something that was convenient and this hotel was a very short walk. We had a great experience here, the hotel is beautiful, very well appointed, very quaint & charming. The bed was AMAZING. The room was a good size, although the bathroom was on the small side. We didn't experience any noise issues at all, although after reading other reviews I did ask for a a "quiet room" ahead of time. We had brunch in the restaurant downstairs and it was great. When we got back from a very busy day we wanted a nice dinner that we didn't have to take a cab to and we found Bistro Bis around the corner. It was superb and a 3 minute walk, which was perfect. Great experience overall.
I spent one night in the hotel. The location is great and staff were very friendly and helpful! The facilities in the hotel room is just ok. Considering the price, this hotel has great money value for what you get.
Good-would stay there again-employees were nice.
Just about one of the best hotels around. The rooms are so nice you wont want to leave them ..beautifully done out, and extremely comfortable in every way. You are right by Union Station, so it is perfect for rail travellers, and the service you are given is excellent. If you can get a good deal on the price here then go for it.
The standard rooms are no larger than a walk-in closet. A garbage truck under our window woke us up at 5am and continued to make noise for ten minutes.
Great Hotel, congratulations!!
The above hotel was very well priced and the service was fantastic
Great location. Great price. I have passed on location to all my friends.
The bed and the flat screen TV were standouts. Best I've ever had in a hotel. I parked at the Union Station garage about a block away for half the daily hotel's price and rode the Metro from there.
an excellent hotel, well located and a fantastic price as booked last minute
I got a great deal on this hotel which is only a ten minute walk to the Capital in DC. The Irish Pub Restaurant food was appalling but otherwise a good hotel
A little shabby chic now but rooms are a good size, have an olde worlde feel and the bar is top notch.
Valet Parking is expensive, cost me 30$ for a day.
The hotel location is really great, just around the corner of the Capitol and the Mall. The Irish pub downstairs is also great, but alos the locals know this since it is always very crowdy. The rooms are rather small, the beds are great, the facilities are average though. I would recommend for a short stay in DC.
Location was fantastic, a very quick walk to Union Station and public buses. All the sights are a reasonably close walk from the hotel. The best bed I have ever slept in.
Very pleased with the hotel in all aspects. Only complaint is that the room was very warm (we stayed here in November and had to turn the AC on high)
Excellent location. The proximity to Union station and the Capitol is a big plus.
This is one of the friendliest, nicest city hotels I have ever stayed in and the service was exceptional. Arriving at 8.00am in the morning after a long overnight train journey I expected just to leave my bags until being able to check in later, but the reception staff were so kind in giving me a room straight away, and it was such a nice gesture. The hotel rooms are excellent, and the location for both rail travel and sightseeing in Washington could not be better ...also it is EXCELLENT value for money.
