Piazza Venezia Hotel Rome Guest Reviews

3 out of 5

We enjoyed our stay! The location was great and the room was fine for the price we paid. Rooms were cleaned every day. It was small, but plenty of space for two. It was a great place to fall into bed after a long day of sight seeing.

It was quite good for the money. If you can get over the tacky decorations all over the palce and prepare yourself for the fact that it is indeed a 3 star accomodation then you will be fine. I personally did not have any complaints about the accomodations nor the staff. It is very difficult to find given that it literally is a door between two restaurants that is hard to see. It is perfect for a few nights if you do not expect to remain in the hotel other than to take a shower and go to sleep. Hot water and nice AC did the trick for me. Quite satisfied.

Given you are in Rome and spend very little time in any hotel, this is a perfect place to stay because of its location. Generally it is very clean and safe and is within walking distance to some of the most beautiful piazza's Rome has to offer as well as restaurants, churches etc, etc.

It was a pleasant and worth stay at the hotel. We had a clean and quiet room with a good shower room. The receptionist was very helpful. It is a very central located hotel. I surely recommend this hotel.

Location is the best thing in this hotel. Besides that we payed the same price for a double en suite room that we would have paid in less comfortable areas (like Termini). The normal rates in this hotel seem to be rather high thinking about the quality. Some people in staff were friendly, others not. The premises looked like the hotel was somehow under some renovation - not very welcoming. In the room there indeed was air conditioning - automatic, very loud and efficient. Happily it wasn't on all the night. Little 1 sqm roof window could be opened, The curtain was broken, so sunlight came in. Stylish furniture, bed and bathroom equipment were good.

A very basic hotel but satisfactory cheap, with two large plusses: the availability of actual single rooms at a reasonable price; and the excellen location is central Rome, near to everything o interest to visitors.

We had one of the 2 suites on fifth floor. Everything was OK, except the light in the bath room, that was poor. The location was excellent.

Conveniently located... catch bus 64 from Rome terminal station and the bus stops literally right in front of the hotel... nicely decorated, slightly small... had problem with the heater on the first night... it was mid November... slightly cool... but it felt like being in an oven... had to ask the reception to turn off the heater... no controls in the room...

how this can be rated as a 3 star is beyond me The room was nothing special, but not especially bad either. temperate control was non-existent though, which made for 2 uncomfortable nights of sleep. but what really deserves a special mention was the bathroom. it was small and old (and the wash basin was cracked), definitely below the standards of a 3 star hotel. what's more, the shower square was right next to the toilet, and they're separated by a shower curtain (yes a shower curtain, and a dirty one too, with a fair bit of soap scum at the bottom of it). so when we took a shower, the bathroom got a bit flooded and the floor was pretty disgusting. had i known this was going to be the case i wouldn't have booked it in a million years. The only positive is that the hotel is in a great location - sites like the colloseum, the pantheon, trevi fountain and the spanish steps are all quite close, and there are bus stops right outside the hotel for vatican city and termini station.

The hotel is very well located, making it easy to get to many parts of Rome. There are several bus lines that stop in front of the hotel which is also a plus. Some of the staff were helpful and pleasant, others seemed less so. The bed was excellent--but the carpet was old and soiled. With a bit of repair and cleaning, the hotel would be excellent.

Hotel in great location, would of been nice to of been able to ask for a glass and be understood. Some staff were very nice and others didnt even look at you. If it wasnt for the location probably would not get many reservations. Heat in lift was unbelievable. Would suggest they use a different tour group the one they used I would not advise anyone to use. We were booked on an English speaking tour and it was supposed to be half spanish and half English obviously L... did not have a good sense of English it was more like 80% to 20% when she was asked a histroy question she would just say oh later later of which there was no later, the entire trip spoilt by us being dropped off at 9.40pm with a 20 miinute walk back to our hotel. Luckily for us it was not our first day there so having done lots of walking we knew where we were. When we complained we were promised a return phone call but none never came. So visitors beware. Book your tours from home and not through the Hotel or Viators

Location was super and the staff were nice and friendly!! Room was small but good value for location. Don't eat on the same street as the hotel. food was very poor and expensive. Hotel entrance is very small so beware of this while looking out for it.

We stayed at this hotel shortly after the new owners began refurbishment work. There were some maintenance problems but I believe that these were being addressed. Staff were great and the hotel location was ideal for our sightseeing needs.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel and we had been upgrade to a suite with a Jacuzzi. The room was huge and very nicely decorated. The only problems I found was it was very noisy, with guest coming back in the night and the traffic from the road outside. Reception was very friendly and you could not have had a better location.
