Piccolino Hotel London

Nice hotel, near the underground at Paddington station and very central located. I can recoment the hotel to others! :O)

Quite noisy from above our basement room. Possibly due to wooden floors above. Staff mainly anonymous thoroughout but hotel was clean. Other than being woken up in the night (both nights) by clomping about and TV from room above it was satisfactory.

Good value hotel in great location. Clean and reasonable size room for central London. No hair dryer when I arrived but provided straight away when requested. I will use again if I am staying in London

While this is clean and well located typical london 2-star boutique hotel, it does have its shortcomings- poor sound proofing between rooms, plumbing noises, beds are hard not as comfortable, and very narrow steps with no elevator, a challnege for carrying luggage, specially if your are on 3rd or higher floor. May be okay for an overnight stay on way to Heathrow, but longer stay could be a challenge for some. So beware!!

Hotel is between Paddington and Hyde Park. Initially we were put in a family room (4 beds) and were moved after one night. Was a bit dark--looking on to a small area behind reception. Had a separate toilet and bathroom which would be good for 4 sharing. Later moved to double room. Usual situation with bathrooms in hotels in London, rather small but acceptable English.

The staff is very friendly and the location is great, very close to the Paddington tube station and good restaurants. Very clean. Safe area. Other than the room and bathroom being small it is a great hotel. Since we spent all day sightseeing, the size of the rooms did not really bother us. Would stay there again.

Nice and cosy hotel. Friendly staff. Plain breakfast. No street noise (slept fairly well). However, some of the other hotel guests were slamming the doors or chatting loudly in the middle of the night which woke us up a few times.

A good budget hotel close to Paddinton Station and in a safe quiet area. Very helpful staff and someone on the desk 24 hours. Rooms are small but thats what you expect. Fruit, cereal, toast coffee or tea for breakfast, nothing fancy, but it was breakfast. We stayed two nights. We are a senior couple and they had booked us on third floor but changed us to the first and helped us with out bags. Twin beds were comfortable and the free wireless internet was a bonus.

Excellent hotel. Very clean - none of that flowery fussy bedding you find in most hotels of this price range. Simple, elegant bedding. Great quiet location near Paddington and Lancaster Gate for access to the Heathrow Express and the Tube. No lift, so something to consider if you need one. Our room (14) was on the 3rd floor (4th to us Americans). The stairs were rather narrow & curving, with no handrail. Not a problem for us, but just an FYI.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel within wlking distance of Paddington Station this one does the job very well.

No lift, and difficult going up by 4-5 floors in tiny stairs
