About 5 minutes away from Chungmuro Station. Hotel is clean and staffs are friendly. One station away from Myeongdong.
Good for shopping tourist, clean and near shopping area!
very good.
Room: -Room was cosy and clean Equipped with basic amenities, as well as a desktop PC. Complimentary internet access which was fast. Location: -General location was good. Located near the major retail and tourist destinations (Myeondong, Nam Dae Mun etc). -Nothing much in the hotel's immediate vicinity - mainly light industries. Does seem a little sketchy, but its generally safe. At worst, simply take a cab back to the hotel at night. Cabs are fairly inexpensive. Staff: -Counter staff generally fluent in English -Bell boy not as fluent, but still much better than the avg guy you'll meet in the street. Overall: - A good choice for tourists on a free and easy visit to Seoul.
I almost didn't stay here because a previous reviewer wrote that this hotel is in a bad neighbourhood - it isn't! I felt very safe including when walking at night (I'm female and was travelling alone). The neighbourhood is really interesting - lots of local character and not touristy like some other areas of the city. There is easy access (5 mins walk) to 3 different subway stations and it was easy to get to all the main places of interest in Seoul. The hotel itself was excellent, except for the problem that other reviewers mentioned about the restaurant being closed to guests whenever there is a private party. I didn't realise that the airport bus stop is only one block away (stop is called PJ Hotel!) so I wasted money on a taxi when I first arrived in Seoul. If I come to Seoul again I would definately use this hotel again.
I like the hotel overall, it's clean & free shuttle to downtown area is great. The bathroom is very small though.
Rooms are clean and comfortable, but hotel rate was expensive for the standard of the room. Shuttle bus service provided by the hotel to subway stations and shopping areas was convenient. Hotel was reluctant to extend the check-out time, even by 1 hour.
Location is good, but not excellent. Neighbourhood is sometimes a little scaring but not really troublesome. Rooms are nice, spacious, with excellent movie program for free and free internet terminals in each room. The english speaking capabilities are of the staff are very low, als almost everywhere in korea. "Is the soup hot or cold?" is already too difficult.
Nice and large Hotel room. Only thing is the location where you had to walk past a narrow path to get to the hotel.
very convenience clean and good price. room is big enough for 2 with balcany.
The staff is very nice and friendly. They could communicate in simple English. The room is clean and spacious. The only drawback is the location. It is situated near a very old and shabby mall. It could be quite scary because you have to walk pass it after getting off at Chungmuro station. I would recommend to get off at Euljiro 4(sa) ga station. If you go there by Luminous bus 6015, it is better to get off at the Kudod Hotel (Best Western).
Location pretty good, only a ten minute walk to the nearest subway. Very close to Namsangol (old style villiage) and Myeung-dong (shopping area) Staff at the reception desk have minimal english but if you ask around there was a trainee and a concierge boy who could speak excellent english. However all staff were very keen to help.
Reasonably priced hotel with sufficient facilities to budget travellers.
Quite impressive for a mid price hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. The area would not suit everyone, but I quite likes the back streets and their atmosphere. Rooms where clear and well appointed. I would happily stay again
Restaurant faciliies very minimal and often the restaurant is completley taken over for private function. Limited food outlets in the immediate vicinity outside the Hotel. When using subway use exit 9 at Euljiro-4, walk straight ahead then turn right after approx 80m. Hotel is then 200m walk.
Very clean and good service. Near this hotel there are so many korean food restaurants(but they can't speak english). Beside only this PJ hotel was good to me.
The hotel inside is ok. but the staff hardly can understand English, the other thing is the location, its not that great. there isnt any places to eat around, and many printing factories nearby. But the other problem with Korea is that is not tourist friendly, the lack of signs in English or at least in alphabet is terrible.
