PJ Watergate Hotel Bangkok

This was my second stay at PJ Watergate and I would certainly stay there again in future. The rooms are clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast has a wide variety of western as well as Thai food and is good. The hotel is located in the very busy Pratunam district of Bangkok, lots of street markets as well as huge indoor clothing markets, and is close to all the main shopping and night life districts as well. We stayed for 9 nights and the hotel provides good value for money.

we enjoyed our stay here again,2nd time. very central for everything. I would like to see more light in corridor and in the bar.

My previouse review from previouse stay here will still the same. very very very good location.. good room rate for this hotel class. only MINUS is the life band that is not there any more. i heard that there was some complain of the high volum level of the band, but i never noticed anything of that during my previouse stay.

we chose PJ Watergate mainly because of it's location and that we felt comfortable staying there. people from PJ were very nice and friendly. however, this time's stay, at room #219, the toilet were filled with small flies, which is quite irritating (imagine bathing, brushing teeth with FLIES!). we were hoping that the chambermaid had more insecticide with these flies.

My regular hotel in BKK. Decent rooms in a fun family friendly neighborhood with an excellent breakfast included all for under US$ 40.

Very good hotel for its price. Perfect location (Pratunam) few minutes walk to Platinum Mall and 20 minute walk to MBK and Discovery Plaza. Allot and lot of restaurants and shops around. Sky train about 5 minutes walk. Silom Road and its night life about 30 minutes walk (if you are interested in walk) as i am. The staff very good and helpfull and speak allmost perfect english (regardless of accent). There is a nice bar with life music everynight beside the lobby. If compare Biayok sky with PJ Watergate is not fair. You get what you pay for and more in PJ. I love this hotel.

Location is very convenient for shopping and the room rate is reasonable, but the bad smell from the room carpet is a big disappointment. I will not stay again if carpet condition remain unchanged

Excellent location. Few meters away from the Pratunam market with all what you need. Few hundred meters from the Platinum mall (you need allmost a whole day to check all shops in it). If you are healthy and like to walk (as me) its allso on walk disstance (20 minute) to MBK and Discovery plaza. daily room cleaning. Nice atmospher. Good for its price. Helpfull reception staff.

My stay at Pj watergate was very good overall. I had no hassles checking in or out and the staff seemed quite competent with both english command and hotel management. The breakfast that was included was a delicious buffet. The hotel provided a range of tv channels to watch, some being english spoken channels, which is quite rare to find in thailand hotels. The room did have a slight sewage smell, which is a common occurence in any bangkok hotel. Overall my stay here was very good. Lastly, the hotel had no qualms at all about me leaving my luggage there to collect after I had already checked out. I will stay here again, and i recommend it to other travellers who dont mind being in the middle of a very busy shopping district.

My partner and I recently stayed at this hotel over the Songkran festival. The room was good though the carpet could do with a thorough cleaning or replacing. Water pressure in the bathroom was so-so, however the overall cleanliness of the room was good and room was always nicely made up and cleaned every morning. We found the staff very helpful and friendly and breakfast was good with a wide choice of buffet style. We enjoyed our breakfast every day. Location is great because it is near all the shopping centres and tourist areas. We would certainly stay there again when we next visit Bangkok.

this is a nice hotel in a very bad spot ok to stay at if you do not mind walking down a smelly alley to get to it. It is nice and close a good shopping area with lots of market stalls and department stores.It is a bit hard for taxi drivers and tuk tuk drivers to find

Wireless Internet or LAN shall available in the room also instead of Lobby. overall the breadfast is very tasty and good. I will recommend more friend to stay here.

PJ Watergate is located in Pratunam, the clothing district of Bangkok and is a 30 minute taxi ride from the major tourist sights. On the other hand, it is away from the tourist throngs and sleaze areas and there are the cheap clothes to be had. The highpoints of PJ are its quiet location, excellent service and attractively decorated, well-appointed public areas. The rooms are reasonably priced if occasionally worn. The breakfast is also quite good. I always stay at PJ when I am in Bangkok and will stay there again
