"We enjoyed this hotel. The location if you are travelling by rail is excellent. Though it is not right in Venice, there is a train approximately every 10 minutes. This is the third time we have been to Venice and this is the second time we stayed in this area. There is a really good local shopping area that we discovered (about a 10 - 15 minute walk). "An ideal place to stay for the budget-conscious who can't afford the hotels in Venice proper. The Plaza is clean and well-organised. Rooms are attractively decorated- bathrooms particularly attractive with tiled floors and walls . Breakfast was full American with good choice. Only complaint -traffic noise. Although double-glazed this is on a busy road and opposite the station, both a plus and a minus. Travel to the airport is easy- a local bus (15) stops right outside and the airport shuttle is only 100m away( 3 euros). Trains into Venice cost 1 euro and are straight across the road. They take about 8 minutes. The local bus ( no2) takes about 15minutes. A ticket for both buses and water-buses is a good idea ( can be bought at station)." - John Darlington
