Plaza Hotel Venice

We disembarked from a cruise in Venice and were looking for a hotel on the mainland to stay at for one night prior to flying home. This hotel fit our needs perfectly! For 4 of us plus luggage, it was a 32 Euro cab ride from the cruise terminal. The room was fairly spacious and very clean, and the bathroom was quite nice. The front desk staff was very helpful when it came to answering questions regarding getting to/from the island of Venice, as well as getting to the airport. After checking in, we had some time for sightseeing in Venice. Located just across the street from the Mestre train station, it was super easy to get to the island and back (10-15 minute train ride, 1.20 Euro per person each way). As for getting to the airport, that was easy as well. The hotel is located just across the street from an airport shuttle bus stop (20 minute drive, 5 Euro per person with luggage).

This is a great location as it is steps away from Mestre railway station. Very convenient to stay here and take a train or bus to go to Venice. No need to carry the heavy baggage and climb the very many bridges and the two or three floor high stairways of the hotels in Venice!

The hotel was excellent, location was directly opposite the Mestre Railway Station. The bus stop, accross the causway to Venice, was outside the hotel. Very convenient. The breakfast was good with a reasonable variety of food. We had a lovely big room. Very clean and tidy.

Straight across the road from the train station. Superb breakfast buffet and friendly efficient staff. Recommended.

Great location, 5 mins walk is a supermarket, downstairs one restaurant is belongs to hotel? Really good food and not expensive.

This hotel is a great choice for staying on the mainland. It is located just opposite the Venice Mestre Train Station but we had no problems with noise. Breakfast Buffet is typical for europe hotels of this class. On the first day we noticed that the shower was not working well, we filled in the maintenance form and hung it on the door and it was fixed by the time we returned that evening, which was great. Rooms are large enough and well maintained, a few english TV channels and mini bar prices are about the same as restaurant prices (which are high because its venice). Soul Kitchen, the attached restaurant has good food but service is a bit inconsistent. Hotel Staff service is professional but not exceptional. Would definitely stay here again.

A very good hotel and convenient to the train station. The room was larger than we expected with a good sized bathroom. Breakfast was good unless you expected a full a la carte menu but for our purpose was more than enough. The waiting staff in the restaurant were very helpful and accommodating. The food was reasonably priced and very enjoyable. The front desk staff had good English skills and were very helpful and informative

This is not the most modern hotel but it is clean and the location for visiting Venice could not be better. The hotel rooms are of a good size, the bathrooms are well fitted and the breakfast is well stocked and has a wide range. The choice of TV channels is a bit limited. The staff are helpful. Stay here rather than in Venice - there is a direct bus from the airport that stops right outside the hotel. You are opposite the train station with trains more or less every 15 minutes to the Venice islands - trip takes 10 minutes and costs €1.

A great hotel in a very convenient location! Really appreciated the staff's help as I figured out the logistics of too much luggage & Venice! Will recommend it to all of my friends!

Convenient location just the opposite of Mestre train station, and the bus (number 2)stop in front of hotel goes to Venice and it only takes 10 min. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I am a very satisfied customer. I took a train from Rome to Mestre. It was wonderful to be able to step off the train and walk across the street to my hotel. Location is excellent!! For one euro you can take the train to the St. Lucia train station in Venice. Very convenient!! Avoid the headaches and high prices by staying in this hotel instead of St. Mark's square. Most of my friends stayed in St. mark's square. The square floods during certain times of the day/year due to high tides. They place walkways in the square. It is extremely crowded and a nightmare to carry your luggage through that mess!! Watertaxi's are expensive, good luck squeezing yourself and your luggage on the CROWDED vaporetto (ACTV network--waterbus) Breakfast included. Bacon, eggs, cereals, breads, juices, fruits, etc. I was going on a cruise which left Venice. My friends and I shared a taxi for 30 euros from our hotel to the cruise port. It was convenient!! I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is rated as 4 Star. However realistically is should only be rated as 3 star. No wi-fi in rooms (only available in lobby and bar), No english speaking TV channels.

The location in Mestre was fanatastic so easy to catch train into central Venice just across the road as well as bus depot for both airport being just along the road - ideal. The inability to provide access to ironing utensils for self usage was disappointing for travellers and the cost of cleaning service offered outrageous.

The Hotel is right across the street from the train station and it is very easy to go into Venice and back to the Hotel. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff very helpful and friendly. Overall a good hotel, however I was not impressed with the neighborhood itself. lack of restaurants was an issue if you wanted to eat at or around the hotel.

Great location across the road from train station (1 Euro one-way to Venice). Rooms have been recently rennovated and are large. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful and speak good English. Some good restaurants within 10 minute walk along Via Piave. The breakfast options were not that good. I recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to visit Venice.

Room was very clean, elegant and air conditioned. The bathroom was perfect with a full size bath tub and towels of high quality. The breakfast was wonderful. It was the best hotel breakfast I ever have had with lots of fruits (even pineapple), vegetables, pastry aso. The location of the hotel close to the railway station suited me and my daughter continuing our travel to Garda.
