The room was comfortable and quiet and the housekeeping was good.The hotel is in a good location but it is aimed at the Russian/East European market and the buffet breakfast was poor by US/Aust standards. Bar prices were 2x the hotel across the road. Better value offpeak periods

Poppa Palace is off rowdy bangla street yet of walking distance. It is also near to the beach, approx. 3 to 5 mins walk away. The deluxe room is quite spacious but i do feel the housekeeping attendant needs to be more attentive. You have to open up the tissue case to show that it's empty or it will not be refilled. Note: This is a 3-star hotel so do not expect room to have full amenities. Ask front desk for hair dryer if you need one. No toothbrush kit or shaver provided.
Would recommend this hotel without a moments hesitation. Fantastic location - no need to look around for anything else as this place has it all including a great selection of food for breakfast.

The Poppa Palace was perfect for our short stay at Phuket, good location close to beach, shops, open food stalls and public transport. For the price the facilities were a real surpise/bonus and the service/friendly staff was excellant. A real treat for Aussies with the Australian channel available on the cable TV. No hestistation reccommending to anybody, with or withouit families.
For the price I paid the rooms was really good. It is really a small luxuriously hotel, great for couples and families too. The bellboys were really friendly and helpful too.
Good location at good price, nice clean room with good size swimming pool. Breakfast is ok, can be improved with more thai style food. staff speak ok level of english and quite accomodating. overall is a good recommended hotel
A quiet resting place in the heart of everything else.
We enjoy our stay there with very good and well educate staff. We will sure come back to Poppa place again with our family. I hope next trip the swimming pool will be more user friendly and clean.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Poppa Palace, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the rooms are cleaned very well each day. There are 2 small pools but plenty of room to enjoy the area and there was plenty of shade if you wanted to get out of the sun. The buffet breakfast was ok but could do with a bit more variety. The hotel is only a 3 minute walk to the beach via a little alleyway which was great. The only downside to the Poppa Palce was the fact that it has very little soundproofing so in the mornings you could hear people walking around and it sounded like people slamming doors everytime someone left their room. So if you like to sleep-in I wouldn't recommend this hotel. But we enjoyed our stay.

Is a nice hotel
Pool is nice, but they have compromized on the little space that was available. Staff s mostly pleasant. Breakfast is good, but you must ask specially for bacon if you wan, although no problem. Aircon in oldest parts are bad, as you can't adjust yourself, and bathrooms are cramped. If you get balcony, it's very, very nice. Regards

I stayed in Poppa Palace during December 2009 with my wife and my two kids. The Hotel is in a good location within walking distance to the Patong Beach and the market. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was also good. A bit expensive, but overall a good experience with the hotel.

Poppa Palace is in agood location to all shopping and night life the hotel is smaller than most but this good staff very friendly and helpful, rooms excellent with pool view, value for money
Service staff were very friendly. Fantastic location- quiet even though it is close to Bangla Road. Will DEFINITELY stay here again.
