"We stayed at the Retreat at Port Douglas in May 2008 for one week. We really enjoyed our stay and would be pleased to recommend it to anyone. It was extremely well placed and within a short walk to the beach, town and marina. "Port Douglas Retreat was very pleasantly located, near to the beach as well as a busy main street with shops, bars and resturants. The apartments themselves were unserviced, which means, cleaning, emptying bins etc is down to oneself. Also clean towels, etc have a small fee. Hotel Information
Hotel description:    Retreat to paradise in our self-contained, air-conditioned studio apartments. Pamper yourself in one of our King beds. Twin beds are also available.

Port Douglas Retreat features traditional North Queensland architecture with the extensive use of timber in the entry, walkways and pool surrounds. Built on only two levels the building blends in with the tropical gardens that attract many native birds.

Facilities include a large freeform saltwater pool (heated) and spacious outdoor entertainment area with gazebo and barbecues surrounded nightly by romantic gas flames. Perfect for couples or single travellers.

Features of the apartments include air conditioning and ceiling fans, kitchenette and private balcony or patio with outdoor dining setting and guests can enjoy our Free Cable TV.

Port Douglas Retreat is centrally located on Mowbray Street, being an easy three minute stroll to the village of Port Douglas, which hosts an array of shops, cafes and restaurants,Four Mile Beach and Marina Mirage shopping and boating facilities.

As our apartments are self catering everything is provided for you on check in. (Apartment service are for stays of more than 7 nights).

Getting there: Drive North from Cairns along the Captain Cook Highway for approximately 60 kilometres. Turn right at the Port Douglas sign then drive about 5 kilometres and turn left into Mowbray Street and we are the second building on the left.
Check-in Procedure: If you are arriving outside of normal office hours please ring us the day before check in for instructions on how to obtain your keys. If this is not possible just pick up the phone near the entrance and you will be automatically diverted to the manager who will give you instructions on how to obtain yours keys. A credit card imprint or $200.00 cash bond will be required on check-in.
Car parking: Free limited undercover security parking on a first in basis. Plenty of free street parking.
Child Policy: 0-2years free ($7.00 per night if cot required) Over 2 years $20 per night with child sleeping on a rollaway bed.
