"A good hotel at a very reasonable price (we had an opening special). The pluses - very quiet, close to the city, modern and clean, very helpful staff. The minuses - the room is tiny, the bar/restaurant was never open when we wanted it and the lighting in the bathroom was very dark.
The hotel got the average rating on the facilities only because the bar was never open when we went there.
So long as you expect the room to be small, you will be happy with your stay. As we were." - Anonymous

The Portal Hotel is 16km from Brisbane International Aiport, about $30 in a Taxi or $9 by Airtrain. The Portal is a short walk from Central Station.
Driving from the North use the Inner City Bypass, take the Kelvin Grove Rd exit, left onto Wickham Terrace, right onto Upper Edward St and then left into Astor Terrace.
From the South use the Pacific Motorway and take the Turbot Street exit, veer left onto Upper Edward St and right into Astor Terrace. |
