"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean but a little shabby - in need of a face lift. Our room was at the front of the hotel and unfortunately there is a pub/club next door which was extremely noisy. To get a decent sleep you will need to keep the window closed." - susan dixon

"Unless booked through a site such as [your website] etc hotel can be expensive and i can only assume the prices they charge is for the central location. Hotel is clean but in need of a refurb, in a central location for trains,buses,ferries and dozens of bars and restaurants. All in all worth a stay, but not with over the counter prices. " - Anonymous

Hotel description:    The Portland Hotel is the first and only AA four star Hotel in Hull. Centrally located next to the City Hall and within walking distance to St Stephens and Princess Quay shopping centres. The Portland Hotel is a non-smoking hotel.

Getting there: The M62 becomes the A63/Clive Sullivan Way at the overhead Traffic Lights.
Continue into Hull, over the flyover to the second set of Traffic Lights.
Turn Left immediately after the second set of traffic lights at the sign stating Paragon Street area.
Turn left again onto Myton Street and accross on to Anne Street.
Turn right at the T Junction, and follow the road round to the left.
Keep left and the Portland Hotel is a few yards on the left.
