"The best thing about this hotel is the location. We climbed the stairs from the Powell St BART station right to the front door of the hotel. Outsde the door was the terminus for the Powell-Hyde/Mason cable car, so we could check in the morning how big the queue was before we went out. The choice of restaurants and shopping in the area was great - check out Sears Fine Foods, Lefty O'Douls and Kuleto's for breakfast and dinner.
The room itself was basic, but clean. The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment, and I'd be interested to see it when it's completed. Staff were very pleasant and helpful." - Anne Margaret Tierney
