Powell Hotel San Francisco, CA

"What a fantastic location! Close to cable car (right at the door!), restaurants, shops, Union Square and more all within very easy walking distance. Staff were wonderful, very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. I would stay here again and recommend it to everyone." - Stephanie Rogan

"The location of the Powell was perfect - right next to cable cars and BART, great shopping and restaurants. The staff was very helpful allowing us to check in early and out late as we had runners in the Nike run. I had a confirmed request for two twins. Since they had filled those available rooms they put us in a suite with two bedrooms, each with a queen and sharing one bath. The rooms were faced to the inside so we did not have all the cable car noise. We also had ceiling fans in each room. I felt the bathroom floor was a little dirty but I know old buildings are hard to clean. We enjoyed the visit. " - Anonymous

"The hotel was in an excellent location.However, our room on the second floor was very noisy with music being played in the building next to us until 9.00pm which was ok. However, it restarted at 1.30am until 4.30 am. Not ideal when you have spent all day travelling. When we told the front desk they just asked us to request a middle room next time we booked!!! So if you stay here make sure you request a middle floor room otherwise a lovely hotel." - Anonymous
