Getting there:The hotel is situated in the center of Marseille in front of the prefecture from few minutes by walk of the vieux port and Parc Chanot. From the vieux port, you have to take the "Canebire", turn right "boulevard Garibaldi" in direction of the prefecture. From Toulon, exit "centre ville", take the direction of the prefecture/castellane. Take the "rue de Rome", turn right "boulevard salvator", turn left rue "Paul Gondard" and up the street "Lafon". From Lyon, exit "Gare St Charles" in direction of the prefecture, down the "boulevard d'Athnes", go straigh on till the "cours lieutaud". After two green little bridges, turn right "rue Dieud", turn the first left "rue Fongate" and the first right "rue Lafon".
Check-in Procedure:When you arrive at the hotel, say your name to the receptionnist and tell him/her how many nights do you stay, if you want breakfast or not and if you need parking. You have to pay your journey when you arrive by cash or by credit card or american express. It's a clean and cheap hotel. It locates near the old port and 2 min walking to the metro station. You get what you await for such a budget hotel and even wif-fi and aircon worked without any problems. The service is kind and cooperative.
Small room but otherwise was good
Running a clean house in the middle of Europe's dirtiest city is not easy, but this one manages to get it done. Nothing special, but nothing to complain either. Internet could be faster, though.
The bedroom smells smoke - and I have asked a non smoking room
Great Location and close to a Metro stop which you can catch from train station so avoid the expensive taxi which cost us 24 euros instead of the 3 euros for the metro.
My stay at this hotel was generally good. the only bad points about my stay was that the remote for the tv didnt work and the shower in the bathroom didnt stay in position but couldnt be taken out of its holder either.for 4.50euros the breakfast was very good,self-service but plenty to fill you.
This hotel is a decent budget hotel. Fairly clean and the location is very close to the city centre. Theres no air conditioning in the room which means you often have to leave the windows open at night - which can result is a lot of mosquito bites. Other than that Id recommend this place as a pretty good budget hotel.
