President Hotel Frankfurt

"I stayed twice in this hotel during my trip, the first time in the main building and the second time in the annexe. Both rooms were spacious, quiet and well air-conditioned. Everything was clean except for the horribly stained carpet in the annexe room. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and on both occasions I was allowed access to the room before the official check-in time. Breakfast was included in the room price, and the (cold) buffet offered a reasonably good choice. The location is very convenient for the Hauptbahnhof, but it is well away from the sleazy area near the station. I shall definitely stay here again when I return to Frankfurt." - Anonymous

"On the upside this hotel is ideal as an overnighter or even a few nights if waiting for a flight home as it is only 5 minutes walk to the Hauptbanhof train station. The town centre and river are about 15/20 mins stroll and if you don't wish to go this far, there are restaurants about 5-10 mins walk away. You couldn't ask for any thing else with breakfast; cereal, fruit, breads, yoghurt etc. The only downside is the area is not wonderful, but it is no worse than any other area close to a train station in Europe (that I have seen anyway).
