Getting there:From the airport: Take citylink tollway and exit at Bulla Road and turn right. This turns into Mt Alexander Road; Punthill Essendon Grand is approximately 1km from the exit on the left hand side. From the CBD: Follow Elizabeth Street north of the city and veer to the left onto Flemington Road, which turns into Mt Alexander Road. Follow this for approximately ten minutes; Punthill Essendon Grand is on the right hand side

I always enjoy my stay at Punt Hill Apartments. Essendon location is near home for me, very convenient, and room service option from the resturant below is great.
Enjoyed our stay at Punt Hill Essendon Grand Apartments Melbourne. The apartment was large and had everything we required. It is fairly close to the apartment and access to the tram made it easy to get into the city. Being up the road from the DFO meant that it was easy to get to there to shop. There are many restaurants, cafes and a hotel close by or if we felt like cooking our own meal there is a supermarket close by. The only problem I had was the room we stayed in had light blinds that did not block out the light or noise of a night. Have stayed there before and will be likely to stay again but will request a room with curtains.

We stayed while transiting in Melbourne and it could not have been better. Clean modern and great service. We will stay here when in Melbourne from now on
New, clean, neat and tidy, giving responsive service. Specific location for Tullamarine, but you need a car
The people running this hotel were really lovely very helpful, I think you need a car if you stay here, although saying that transport was excellent, it was just a bit of a way from the city center
This is an excellent place to stay with all the facilities you could hope to have. Its location is close to the airport and a simple tram ride (1/2hr) from central Melbourne City. Due to the location (in Essendon) the nightly price is less than equivalent in the city - it is certainly worth it - the inconvenience of the location is nothing in comparison. I'll certainly stay there again.
Ideally located for North Melbourne or the Airports area. Super clean. Well managed. Free garage (that's something Melbourne). Close to the tram to the CBD if you don't want to drive. Highly recommend.
