The purplehotel Cambridge, located at Junction 28 of the A14, is the premium budget hotel in Cambridge. Its 82 big, air-conditioned rooms give you the perfect base for exploring a beautiful and historic part of England whilst also being conveniently placed for Cambridge Science park, the UK's oldest and most prestigious science park and home to over 90 hi-tech companies. Cambridge is famous for its university, and any visit must include King’s College. Other local attractions include Duxford Air Museum (probably the finest in England) and The Fitzwilliam Museum, which has one of the UK’s pre-eminent collections of Egyptian antiquities. Close by at Huntingdon is the birth place of Oliver Cromwell, The Lord Protector. There's more history in this place than you can shake a long pole at. Talking of which, you cannot visit Cambridge without a punt down the Cam - just watch out for the low bridges or you may find you and your pole without a punt but with a large crowd of guffawing onlookers.

Getting there:The hotel is situated on the motorway services area on the A14 just 6 miles North of Cambridge. A14 Junction 28, 6 kilometers north of M11 and 13 kilometers south of Huntingdon. Signposted Elsworth and Boxworth.

Car parking:There is ample free car parking.

there was no place to buy any alcohol 10 miles around we got key card that didn't worked out from the first time than a misspelled password for the Internet account the was minor issues. Generally the hotel is nice and well served. The TV channels were way better selected than in many other hotels. The rooms are big the price ... it seems low, but this balances well with the fact that one needs to drive 10-15 minutes to get into Cambridge

Disappointed the room had no facilities for making tea,or coffee. Though a minor issue, I think it would be useful, and wouldn't prove an expensive addition for the hotel.
A problem existed with the room lighting (which had failed) so a room change was necessary - foutunately, even though the hotel was full, a room was finally found - the desk clerk was very helpful in resolving the matter.
Very convenient location with access to motorway. There should be more places like this in UK.
Coming from London and its tiny hotel rooms, the spacious room at the Sleep Inn Cambridge was a huge relief. Located at an M25 Service lay-bye, the Service facilities adjoining the Inn were excellent for meals, toiletries, newspapers,etc. Value for money.
