"The restaurant dinner was excellent. The food was delicious and well presented, the desserts were not only innovative, but quite unexpectedly tasty. Bedding could have been much more medern." - Anonymous
"This hotel has a lot of history is very interesting as it has retained lots of period charm and is decorated accordingly. The room we stayed in was basic, very small, clean, but showing it's age a bit and could do with a bit of renovation and the double bed was small and old and squeeky but being a basic metal frame enabled one case to be pushed underneath it to give us more living space! The dining, bar and lounge areas were very good. All the staff we came into contact with were excellent. The close proximity to the beach and being only a small walk to train station or town was very good and I would recommend it for anyone wishing to stay in Folkestone." - Jane Winberg
"I had a problem with my shower curtain, The staff were very courteous and friendly and took the room number to have it restored to its proper position the following day by Maintainance.
When I returned on the evening of the following day the shower curtain had not been restored. I raised this with the front desk to discover that there was no-one available that day to do the work.
Although of small inconvenience to myself, it did ocurr to me that a hotel of this standard ought to have such personnel avaialable in the maintainance department every day.
Otherwise a very pleasant stay with friendly staff and very good food. " - Robert King
