"We were given a room on the 5th floor. The lift only went to the 4th floor, so had to get out and walk up the other floor. The staircase and corriders that we had to use from getting out the lift, before reaching our room were absolutely disgusting. The skirting boords were rotten, the carpets was really badly marked, all the edging of the carpets were heavily covered in dust and dirt. We had to pass a few storgae rooms that were lying open, one had a washing machine in it, but the smell coming from it was distgusting it actually made me retch.
Our room was very basic, badly in need of a facelift and clean carpets. The bathroom toilet and washand basin were ok, but the bath was very badly marked and we chose not to have a shower before leaving in the morning.
Overall stay was appalling and I will never use the hotel again or recommend it to anyone. Such a pity as the location was excellent." - YVONNE HUME
