"Very shabby, run down place to stay. We were very disappointed. There was NO guest amentities, i.e. only dispensers on the wall. We have stayed at backpackers with better guest amenities, services and facilities. We are aware we got a cheap deal, but didn't realise this would mean we would get a cheap hotel. The shower/bath was run down, we thought the elevator would get stuck going up or down. This whole place needs an overhaul. Would not recommend to anyone who has standards - pay a little bit more and stay in town. " - Anonymous

"Overall I am quite satisfied with my stay. Although, the inside appearance suggest that it has served its glorious days and needs a bit of improvement on some aspects, it makes up on the spacious room space commensurate with the pricing, and its beautiful surroundings especially the one fronting it (the botanical garden). "No flannels, 2odd cups no saucers, no milk had to ask twice and when it came it was in a cup! Took ages to get any hot water. General location good but noise from buses stopping outside terrible,a lot of traffic until about 1am" - Anonymous
